to Z of Neighbours: Letter G
The
A to Z of Neighbours is intended to act as an encyclopaedia
of everything to do with the show. These are the entries beginning
with the letter G. If you feel that we're missing anything,
please let us know, either by contacting
us or in the relevant thread on the
Message Board.
Galah:
Dahl is one.
Gambling:
This has featured strongly over the years, especially over
the name of the street as Black Jack Ramsay won a card game
against the great-great grandfather of Paul Robinson, and
the right to name the street 'Ramsay Street'. This sparked
a feud between the two families which emerged occasionally
throughout the years. Daphne Lawrence was given the Coffee Shop after her grandfather
won it in a card game. Over the years, Sam Kratz, Brad Willis, Darcy Tyler, Ruby Dwyer and Lance Wilkinson
have faced gambling addictions.
Garages:
One of these was shown when Hannah, Toadie and Billy started
a pirate radio station.
Gardens:
All the Neighbours have one at the back and front of their house.
Godparents:
Recent godparents include Lou Carpenter for Ben Kirk, and Harold Bishop, Gino Esposito and
Susan Kennedy for Oscar Scully.
Golf:
Karl and Sarah went to a golf tournament where Sarah fell
off the edge of a cliff.
Good
Friends: Neighbours should be there for one another,
that's when good neighbours become good friends!
(A)
Good Hair Day Salon:
Owned by Gino Esposito and managed by Lyn Scully. Felicity
Scully also did work experience here.
Good
Neighbours: Everybody needs good neighbours! Also the name of a spin-off show which looked at the fans of the series.

Gottliebs:
Stephen, Mark & Serendipity were the siblings who made up this family. Phoebe Bright and her daughter
with Todd Landers, Hope, became part of this family after she
married Stephen. We also met their dad, Dave and mother, Sally.
Grandfathers:
Lou Carpenter, Harold Bishop and Karl Kennedy are among the Neighbours grandads.
Grandmothers:
Helen Daniels, Marlene Kratz and Susan Kennedy are just some of the Neighbours grannies.
Grease
Monkeys: Once owned by Madge & Harold Bishop.
Desi Grant, Felicity Scully, Tad Reeves and Sky Mangel have
all worked here.
Greendale: The country town that the Kennedys moved to Erinsborough from. Jack Scully & Izzy Hoyland stayed here on a secret weekend away in which Karl Kennedy caught them whilst he was secretly drinking in a bar when he was supposed to be on a romantic getaway with Susan.

Greenwoods:
Amy was the only member of this family to be a regular, but
we also met her brothers Jeff & Patrick and their mother,
Josie. We have heard of but never met her dad, Tony, and of
course the baby she was carrying when she left.
Grey
Growlers: The basketball team which Portia Grant,
Madge Bishop and Pat Horrocks were on.

Grundy:
The production company behind Neighbours.
Gyms:
Frequented recently by Boyd and past Neighbours.
