Reference > A to Z of Neighbours: Letter R

The A to Z of Neighbours is intended to act as an encyclopaedia of everything to do with the show. These are the entries beginning with the letter R. If you feel that we're missing anything, please let us know, either by contacting us or in the relevant thread on the Message Board.

Radio Erinsborough: Local community radio station on which Lou Carpenter hosted a daily talk show. He was later joined by Marlene Kratz as co-host.

Rainbow Alley: Controversial book from the Erinsborough High school syllabus in 2000.

Ramsay: Ramsay Street's first family, made up of Max and Maria and their two sons Danny and Shane in the early days. Various relatives came and went until Max's sister, Madge, packed up and left Erinsborough at the end of 1992. She returned in 1996, before dying of cancer in 2001.

Ramsay Orchards: Once owned by Black Jack Ramsay, our favourite street is built on the site of these.

Ramsay Street: The street our favourite neighbours live on which was named after the Ramsay family, (as Black Jack Ramsay won the honour in a game of Black Jack) who used to live at number 24.

Ramsbottom Street: What the council renamed the street in 2001, before protests from street residents saw it changed back.

Rebecchi: This family includes Angie, Big Kev, Shane, Stonefish, Toadfish and his late wife Dione. Janelle Timmins also has Rebecchi blood, as do her children.

Reeves: The Rebecchi Aunt and Uncle Barry R Reeves and his wife, Coral, were originally an in-joke by the writers, but both characters appeared in the series, while their adoptive son, Tad, was a regular on Ramsay Street.

Robinson: Another of the original families on Ramsay Street, made up of father Jim and his four children, Paul, Scott, Lucy and Julie. Paul returned home to Erinsborough in 2004 after last appearing in episode 2001, back in 1993.

Robinson Corporation: Originally the Australian leg of the Daniels Corporation, this was owned by Paul Robinson and held such assets as the Lassiter's Hotel and Complex and Number 22 Ramsay Street.

Romeo: Italian mechanic Tony Romeo was a regular face on Ramsay Street between 1987 and 1988, and his mother Elinora also put in an appearance.

Rotunda: Located by Lassiter's Lake, this has been a meeting place for many young lovers over the years and the site of several weddings and also the memorial service for Helen Daniels.

Royal Variety Performance: Filming stopped for two weeks in 1988 as all the cast flew over to London to do a piece in the show where they met the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret.
