This week saw a new arrival on the street and drama aplenty as both love and obsession climaxed…

Paul Robinson’s interference and scheming in the Bishop family’s lives intensified this week as David missed an important fundraising event at the school to attend a business luncheon at Lassiter’s with Paul and couple of clients. Liljana was furious with her husband for having promised to make the events and subsequently letting her down, unbeknown that Paul was the driving force behind David’s actions. Sky, suspicious of Mr Robinson’s devious doings, took to following him around the neighbourhood with a camcorder to record his actions. However, she didn’t bank on being spotted by him (perhaps she shouldn’t have chosen the weediest bush at Lassiter’s to hide behind!) and he gave her a stern warning that she shouldn’t mess in his affairs. Meanwhile, as if he wasn’t busy enough stirring things between Lil and David, Paul also found time to fly up to Sydney for a meeting and a session of bedroom acrobatics with Lee Thomas of Affirmacon. Imagine Izzy’s surprise when she decided to head up to Sydney too, anticipating a private session with Paul, but happened upon he and Lee in bed.

Lyn’s shifty nature was explained as she confessed to Susan about her relationship with her life coaching client, Andy Tanner. However, despite her pleas, Lyn wasn’t able to prevent Andy from leaving his wife and she felt extreme guilt. She was also greatly embarrassed when newly-arrived Janelle walked in on her with him one evening. Meanwhile, just as her mother was getting a little frisky and being adventurous with her love life, Stephanie was given the responsibility of looking after her newly-acquired step-children full time as Max headed off to the oil rig in the Timor Gap to cover a vacant stint for a few weeks.

Stuart finally overcame his anger towards Sindi following the road accident and asked her if she would take him back. However, this caused a moral dilemma for Sindi who was still scarred by the reality that his blindness was ultimately down to her. Spending more time with him made her realise he was dependent on a reading aid machine which scanned text and read it aloud. However, there was no way they could raise the thousands of dollars needed to buy one, and so Sindi decided to return to her exotic dancing background to earn funds. Elsewhere at No.30, the stalker story continued as Connor’s ute brakes were fiddled with and he nearly crashed. Whilst at the garage having them checked, he was jumped from behind and kidnapped. At the same time, Carmella was alone at the house with her ‘minder’, Frank, who it transpired was actually the stalker. Carmella quickly realised that Connor was in danger and tried in vain to reason with Frank before attempting to ‘run for it’. Thankfully, as voices were raised, Stuart who happened to be outside the door making his way back to the house overheard the commotion and took action, charging his way in and tripping the mains so that the house would be in darkness to hinder Frank’s abilities. Fortunately, he was able to hang on until the police arrived. However, the stalker wouldn’t reveal where he had taken Connor, and it wasn’t until David, in his role as councillor, was about to blow up a derelict building, that the onlookers noticed some movement from within, and it was discovered that Connor had been locked in the building with the intention of being blown up.

And finally, Janelle’s reappearance coincided with Stingray and Serena trying to find some ‘quiet time’ alone to consummate their relationship. Whilst Janelle was thrilled to see her Scotty, she wasn’t so pleased that Dylan was on the scene, and accused him of being a bad influence on his younger brother. Despite Dylan’s good intentions, Janelle was still convinced he was a no-hoper.
