As Neighbours turns 30, Perfect Blend contributors, past and present, share some of their highlights from the past three decades...

Every Neighbours fan has their favourites. Having chalked up almost 7100 episodes at it hit its 30th anniversary, there are certainly plenty of characters and stories to choose from, so we thought we'd ask a few Perfect Blend contributors, past and present, to look back over the last three decades and choose their favourites in a variety of different categories. As you'll see, Madge and Harold, the Kennedys, the Robinsons and the Scullys all proved popular across multiple categories, but there was little that we all agreed on, which probably shows just what a wide-ranging appeal Neighbours has, and hopefully in another thirty years' time, we'll still all be disagreeing about which of Ramsay Street's pets was best.

KYLE
Favourite Character: It has to be Susan Kennedy, she’s a very caring, funny and lovely character who everyone in the street respects and goes to for advice in their hour of need. I’ve grown up watching the show and she has been a TV mum to me, Susan has taken over the role from Helen Daniels as the heart and soul of Ramsay Street
Favourite Family: The Kennedys - I can't imagine the show without them!
Favourite House: It has to be number 26, originally owned by the Robinsons and now owned by Paul with the Canning family living there
Favourite Arrival: This was a really hard choice, I was going to pick Donna, but I decided on Valda Sheergold, a character who meddled in the affairs of her family and neighbours, made hilarious loaded comments and provided dozens of hysterical moments, renewing Neighbours' great strength in the area of comedy. (Bring her back!!)
Favourite Exit: Izzy’s departure. She was such a great character, and even her exit was surrounded with so much drama and promise for the future
Favourite Wedding: Toadie and Dee’s wedding, it was beautifully done, Dee’s exit was one of the saddest episodes of Neighbours as the wedding itself was perfect.
Favourite Pet: It has to be Bossy; she is the cutest dog.
Favourite Finale: 2004 will always be one of my favourite years of Neighbours and the 2004 finale I simply loved, I enjoyed how Paul just showed up in the last few seconds with no explanation as to who he was... great drama, good characters and an unexpected return. But it was such a shame they burn down the old complex as I really loved it
Favourite Partnership: This has been the hardest one to decide, there have been some amazing partnerships on Neighbours - Karl and Susan, Charlene and Scott, Harold and Madge, Ringo and Donna, Lou and Mishka! But I decided on Rebecca and Paul, Rebecca is someone who could stand up to Paul (she did try to kill him) but also cared for him, she was a great addition to the show and the chemistry between both characters flowed
Favourite Dramatic Storyline/Scene: The Karl/Izzy affair, Susan finding out Izzy is pregnant
Favourite Comedy Storyline/Scene: The Scully family on Making Mansions
Favourite Quote: "Close to everything, leafy, quiet and great neighbours"
Favourite Theme: Janine Maunder's 2002-2007 theme
Favourite Title Sequence: 2007's photo booth sequence, but I love the new 2015 sequence too
