The Neighbours community has been rocked to the core by the announcement from Channel 5 that they will cease to air the show from August 2022 and the response from FremantleMedia Australia and Channel 10 that unless a new UK broadcaster can be found, the show will wrap production for good on 10th June.

Whilst as viewers we are all devastated, our thoughts must turn to the hundreds of people employed by Neighbours as a production - the cast, the writers and the crew.

This is a production which has continued through the multiple lockdowns Melbourne has faced, moved channel three times before, but now it seems this could be the end.

The show needs our support to continue, whether that is to find a new home in the UK or support for those employed by Neighbours who have to return to work and continue writing and filming to deliver the same incredible show they have for 37 years, despite the show's impending fate.
