How long have you been watching Neighbours?
I watched the first ever episode when i was 4, so i'm told by my older brother, and never looked back. It's a little piece of happiness that pops up twice in your day. Put simply it just makes you feel great for the whole 21 minutes it's on.

Who are your favourite characters and why?
My all time favourite character is Lance Wilkinson, he was hilarious. It was at a time when they had a really good bunch of young characters and he just stood out for me. His addiction to gambling was a major highlight. The recent return to form of Lou and Jelly Belly has also been a treat as well as the outrageous behaviour of the most evil man i like... Paul Robinson.

What are your favourite storylines and why?
Favourite storyline? That's a very hard question indeed as there've been so many classics. But the one that took things to a new level for me was Stuart's involvement with 'Life Mechanics'. The way that every problem in life could be related to the running of a car to solve it was priceless. "You're driving through your life with the handbrake on Stuart" was what that weirdo Jonathan Verne kept telling him. Stu dismissed his mates in the House of Trouser as 'bad passengers', but that's when the beauty of the HoT was shown as they forgave him when it all came crashing down on him.

Have you ever visited the sets, or met any of the cast?
I've never made it out to Melbourne but I've met Fletch AKA Karl Kennedy 3 times now and he actually knows who i am! Also met Shane Connor AKA Joe Scully but since he sued them for wrongful dismissal he's now theirs and my enemy.

What merchandise from the series do you own?
I've not got much merchandise really, although I'd like some. Just posters and a Scott and Charlene commemorative wedding mug that's pretty much had its day.

Why do you think the show has lasted so long?
The show has lasted so long because it started so well and has just got better and better. The way the sew the seeds of a storyline so far in advance keeps you guessing at what may be around the corner. We've seen people like Toadie blossom into possibly the coolest man on the planet. There's the Doc, Lou, Jelly Belly, Ol' Helen Daniels and just an endless list of awesome characters. It seems to have a layered structure that means that you notice things you didn't before on the days second showing. To love Neighbours is to love life.
