How long have you been watching Neighbours?
I have been watching Neighbours for approximately five years - although my Grandma has been telling me the storylines every week for a lot longer!

Why did you start watching the show?
Partly because my Grandma has always told me the storylines and so I thought that I might as well watch it, and also partly because I was ill one day and there was nothing else on. And then I got hooked!

Who are your favourite characters and why?
My favourite characters are Elle Robinson, because I think she's so evil and yet so nice at the same time and Janae Timmins because she was a comic genius and always made me laugh, but also had both a soft and a feisty side which made her like a real person!

What are your favourite storylines and why?
My favourite storylines have to be the recent dance party roof collapse, because I loved the way it made some of the "harder" characters, like Elle, seem "softer", and more human. I always like it when they put a character into hospital, because it changes the way you think about them when they appear vulnerable. My other favourite storyline has to be anything that happens and they bring up again years later, like the plane crash and Robert. I like this because it makes the years all come together and so it doesn't feel like a show with series.

Have you ever met any of the cast?
No, but I saw Eliza Taylor-Cotter in pantomime this year, and thought she was amazing!

Have you ever visited the sets, street or a Neighbours Night?
No, I'm only 16 so I'd have to do some fair parent bribing if I wanted to get to Australia, however this is mine and my sister's dream, and so we're hoping to be able to visit one day!

What merchandise from the series do you own?
The Official Neighbours Annual 1990 (which I found at a car-boot sale for 50p, Sianoa Smitt-McPhee's autograph, which Dad bought me off Ebay for Christmas and the Neighbours Defining Moments DVD from 2003.

Why do you think the show has lasted so long?
Because every time a good character leaves, and everyone is sad about it (like Janae or Harold) there is always something else interesting going on, so that you forget about it. Also, there is always the mystery of the high-pitched screech in Number 28 (who knows what that is?).
