How long have you been watching Neighbours?
I have been watching since the very beginning. I was off school with my sister sick and we both got addicted, I had mum video it. And then our prayers were answered and it was shown at five thirty. I used to get my Uncle Reg in Australia to send us videos of future episodes so i knew what was going to happen two years in advance.

Why did you start watching the show?
I started watching the show because my mum is from Australia, so i guess i was intrested for that reason but it soon became a firm favourite with the whole family and still is.

Who are your favourite characters and why?
I loved Annalise, she was really funny. I also liked Brad Willis, again for the comedy factor. I guess my favourite character now would be Lyn Scully. Actually all the Scullys - that was a genius move to move them on to the street. They are like the Aussie version of the Slaters from EastEnders but with a little more class.

What are your favourite storylines and why?
My favourite storylines would include the Izzy/Karl/Susan love triangle and all the lies Izzy gets involved in. It has been so brilliantly acted. Also the storyline involving Jack in drugs was very well-acted and written. I remember the whole Charlene, Scott and Jane love triangle, that was pretty cool and when Glen Donnelly fell in love with his half-sister Lucy.

Have you ever visited the sets, street or a Neighbours Night?
I have visited the set loads. I lived in Melbourne for a while and used to take friends down there. i have also been to two Neighbours Nights. We also found Erinsborough High one day when we were bored. On one trip to Ramsay Street we actually took a snaeky peak at Number 30 back garden by bunking each other up on the fence. The Neighbours Nights were cool - the cast were always really nice.

Can you tell us more about your experiences of meeting the cast?
I have met quite a few of the cast - Steph Scully, Jack Scully, Joe Scully, Lyn Scully, Stuart Parker, Darren Stark, Joel Samuels, Toadfish, Karl Kennedy, Sharon Davies, Madge Bishop and I have seen Izzy Hoyland in a car park in Aus. Me and a friend gatecrashed an underwear launch to meet Stuart Parker and he thought it was highly amusing. Carla Bonner who plays Steph actually proposed to me and Lyn Scully was very sweet and noticed I had sun burn and told me off saying I should wear more sunscreen.

What merchandise from the series do you own?
I have all the merchandise and over 60 signed fancards, letters and stuff. I have been writing to the cast since the eighties. I have all the books, videos, etc. I'm a total nut.

What are your thoughts on Neighbours turning 20 this year? Why do you think the show has lasted so long?
I am so looking forward to the show turning 20, I'm really looking forward to a few old faces turning up. I think that the show has lasted so long because it has grown with its core audience and has not alienated anyone... it's also well put together and at present has a really strong cast and writing team.
