Written by Peter Mattessi, Directed by Chris Langman, Produced by Jason Herbison

Channel Eleven: 24/10/14, Channel 5: 07/11/14

Daniel agrees to move back into the penthouse with Paul... One of Toadie’s clients, Gretchen, walks in on him and Sonya having a nude day... Revealing she’s a naturist, Gretchen suggests they have a naked business dinner!... Karl is worried about Susan’s counselling of Nate... Susan experiences PTSD-like symptoms of her own, having listened to Nate’s stories

At number 28, Karl is in a good mood, enthusing about the weather and reciting his to-do list for Susan and Nate. Nate reminds him not to forget the lemons; Karl thanks Nate and announces that he’s making curd. Karl’s mood improves even further when he finds a forgotten birthday card from Mal. Inside the card, Karl finds an un-scratch scratchcard. As a slightly distracted Susan watches, Nate encourages Karl to scratch the card and see if he’s won but Karl just puts it in his pocket, wanting to savour the idea that he might have won the top prize of $100,000.

..

At number 30, Sonya is still feeling uncomfortable about having a naturist dinner with Toadie’s client Gretchen. Toadie reminds Sonya that it was her idea to be naked for fun in the first place, but Sonya points out that it’s not exactly the same thing. Toadie tells Sonya that he is not keen on 'getting his gear off' either but mentions that the lunch could be worth thousands of dollars to the law firm, as Gretchen’s firm builds shopping centres. Sonya says to Toadie “I get it. We’re taking our clothes off for money. We’re strippers!” Toadie pretty much agrees with Sonya’s statement but reminds her that they will be naked in their own home. She tells him that he owes her big time for this! Georgia enters; Sonya again thanks Georgia for agreeing to take Nell out while they host the lunch, Sonya comments that the lunch is very important and Toadie nods in agreement. Georgia says to them both “Okay, I see. And you don’t want Nell crawling around under the table”.Toadie quickly says “Oh, no. No!”.

At the penthouse, Karl is lending a book to Paul that a few of his psychiatrist colleagues have recommended. While he’s there, Karl asks Paul if everything is ok, commenting on the untidiness of the apartment. Paul admits everything is terrific and explains that Daniel has moved home. During the conversation, Karl’s scratchcard falls out of his pocket and Paul retrieves it for him, before lending Karl a coin to scratch it with. Karl’s pleasantly surprised to learn he’s won $7,000! He’s about to go to the newsagency to cash it in, but Paul tells Karl with an amount that size, he’ll have to go to head office on Monday and collect it. Karl rushes off to call Susan.

..

At number 28, Susan is telling Sonya about the $7,000 Karl’s won - Sonya asks what she's going to spend it on, but Susan suspects that Karl will have it spent ‘three times over’ before she gets a look-in. Changing the subject, Sonya asks why she invited her over - Susan explains that she needs some advice. Susan tells Sonya that she’s been helping Nate with his PTSD. “Oh, like counselling him,” Sonya says. Susan tells Sonya that it’s more talking to him and it’s been worthwhile, however the talks aren’t easy and it's difficult for Nate to open up. Sonya nods in agreement, saying that it must be difficult for her. “Yeah, sometimes,” is Susan’s reply. Sonya explains that, as she is a sponsor for her own addiction support groups, she knows how hard it can be to listen to the problems of someone who’s troubled, adding that most senior sponsors see a counsellor themselves to deal with the stress of the job. Sonya suggests Susan should talk to Karl, but Susan dismisses this idea, commenting that he’s already worried she’s in over her head. So Sonya tells her to seek out a professional and reminds Susan that she can’t carry the burden of Nate’s problems on her own. Sonya also advises it might be sensible for Susan to take a step back, like she had to when counselling others was taking over her life. Susan disagrees with Sonya, saying that it’s not an option, the counselling is really helping Nate and she’s not going to let him down. “Yeah, but if you end up totally stressed out by this, then you’re gonna end up letting him down anyway,” is Sonya’s reply to Susan, who sighs.

Karl enters number 30, to collect the lemons from Toadie for his curd. Karl’s happily bragging to Sonya and Toadie about the $7,000 prize he’s won, and comments on how they seem to have the heating on quite high. Toadie and Sonya are extremely anxious to get Karl out of the house, just then there’s a knock at the door, Karl asks them if they are expecting someone and Sonya tells Karl that they are having a ‘professional business lunch’ with a client of Toadie’s. Karl proceeds to introduce himself to Gretchen and her husband Niklas and starts bragging to them about his win. Gretchen’s about to ask if Karl is a naturist too, but Sonya and Toadie quickly cut her off, assuring her he’s ‘not’. “Sorry? Is he what?” Karl enquires and Toadie quickly replies “A Queenslander”. Karl proceeds to say to Gretchen and Niklas “Oh, you’re banana benders. I’ve always been meaning to take a road trip up there. Get to see all the ‘bigs’.” Gretchen looks at Karl bizarrely and Karl continues “You know, Big Pineapple, Big Banana, Big Nuts”. Toadie hurriedly escorts Karl out of the house, wishing him luck with the curd. Karl tells Toadie that he will bring a jar over to which Toadie nods in agreement but mentions not to do it today. With Karl gone, Gretchen and Niklas start looking for somewhere to put their clothes!

..

Down at the Waterhole, Karl’s now boring Sheila about his $7,000 win, and he decides to order the Waterhole’s finest quality orange juice, Sheila notices the lemons on the bar counter and asks Karl what he is doing with them - Karl tells her that he is making curd. Kyle comes out and enquires if he has done enough to pay off his guilt debt. However, Sheila tells him that there’s still a blocked sink to fix, whilst Kyle and Sheila are talking, Karl proceeds to steal a handful of lemons from behind the bar and adds them to the bag he got from Toadie. Karl says to Kyle and Sheila “Toadie called it karma. I think that’s the right word. I mean, given all the work I’ve done for the community I think it’s just I get the seven grand”. Sheila, fed up with Karl, tells him that she will give him eight grand if he shuts up about it. However, Karl delights in saying “Oh, Sheila! Jealousy really is not a good look. With that sort of attitude it’ll be a long time before you get your hands on one of these…” Karl goes to his pocket to retrieve the scratchcard, but finds it gone and quickly realises he had a hole in his trousers. Sheila enquires how old his pants are and jokingly suggests that he gets a new pair. Karl increasingly begins to panic, and decides to ring around the neighbourhood and tell people to keep an eye out for the scratchcard. Sheila points out that if he does that, someone else could claim the prize before he can. Karl tells Sheila to forget about the orange juice and rushes off with his lemons.

At number 30, everybody is naked and the business meeting has begun. Sonya is in the kitchen preparing lunch and giggling away to herself at Toadie and his clients talking about tax and corporate restructures in the buff. Toadie notices Sonya laughing and joins her in the kitchen, asking her what's so funny. Sonya says to Toadie “You serious? You don’t think it’s a bit funny you standing around talking about tax in the nude?” Toadie starts to laugh and agrees that it’s completely ridiculous. Sonya asks Toadie if he seen Niklas' birthmark... before Sonya gets a chance to finish what she is saying Toadie tells her to stop it and comments that he’s trying not to look. Toadie then encourages Sonya to make it through dessert without bursting into laughter, so they can seal the deal.

..

Back at the Penthouse, Karl enters to find Paul dropping what looks like the scratchcard off his balcony! Paul’s only teasing though, and Karl asks him if he's seen the scratchcard. Paul tells Karl that he’s hasn’t, and Karl wonders how he knew that it was missing. Paul explains that Sheila called him - realising that Sheila is probably after his winnings, Karl rushes out again, and whilst heading out Paul asks Karl what he is doing with a bag of lemons. “I’m making curd,” Karl states.

At number 26, Sheila finds Georgia looking after Nell in the back yard, and asks her where Karl was earlier, when he came to take some seedlings. Georgia doesn’t know, telling Sheila that Kyle helped him out. Sheila urgently tells Georgia to think, but at that moment, Karl appears, having scaled the fence with his lemons. Karl tells Sheila that he knows what she’s doing. However, Sheila says that she doesn’t know what he is talking about and states that he is trespassing. Karl mentions to Sheila that the scratchie is his and for her to take it, is flat-out theft! Sheila tells Karl that he lost it, and if someone else finds it then that’s karma. Georgia comes across and demands to know what’s going on - they explain and Georgia tells them both that they are behaving like... just then everyone turns around and looks at Nell, who is chewing on a small piece of card! Sheila and Karl both beg Nell to give the card to them – but when they manage to get it out of her mouth, it turns out just to be a Dial-a-Kyle business card. Georgia says to Karl and Sheila “You should both be ashamed of yourselves!” Karl stomps off, and Georgia asks Sheila what is Karl doing with some lemons - “Oh, he’s making curd” Sheila says. Karl proceeds to steal another lemon from Sheila’s tree, as he climbs back over the fence again.

..

Back at the Kennedy house, Nate stumbles upon the secret panel behind the bookshelves, explaining to Susan that he knocked it by accident. Susan tells Nate that it’s been like that for some time - he notices that there are a lot of names written on it and Susan explains to Nate that it was the kids and the waifs and strays that have stayed with them over the years. Nate asks Susan if she wouldn’t mind him putting his name there too, Susan thinks that’s a good idea. As Nate writes his name, Susan gently suggests that, as she’s not a qualified counsellor, they might need to find ‘the right person’ to help him. However Nate is oblivious to what Susan’s suggesting, and comments that he has found the right person - he hasn’t felt this positive in ages. Nate proceeds to say to Susan “So whenever you can manage another chat, I’m up for it”. “Of course. Just name the day”, is Susan’s worried reply.

Karl knocks at Sonya and Toadie’s, with Sheila standing behind him, and Sonya pops her head out frantically. Karl tells Sonya that he needs to come in, but Sonya informs Karl that he can’t. He pleads with Sonya to let him in as it's important but she forcefully tells Karl to go away as they are hosting a lunch and goes to slam the door. Karl persists, so Toadie then comes to the door in his dressing gown. Karl tells Toadie that he needs to come in and Sheila adds ‘we’ to Karl’s request. Toadie repeats what Sonya said, saying that they'll only be a minute. Toadie tells Karl no and to get lost. Karl proceeds to explain to Toadie that he’s lost his scratchcard, but Toadie still isn’t letting him in. Finally clocking what Toadie and Sonya are wearing, Karl wonders aloud if he’s interrupted something, forcing Toadie to explain “The couple you met earlier are…” “Swingers!” Sheila suggests. Toadie tells Karl and Sheila that they are naturists. Karl proceeds to ask if he and Sonya are, to which Toadie quickly tells Karl that they aren’t but the couple are very big potential clients, so he and Sonya have had to go along with it. Sheila says to Toadie “Oh, you lawyers are a weird bunch”. Toadie tells Karl and Sheila that if they want to come in and retrieve the $7,000, they’ll have to get undressed themselves! Sheila refuses instantly, and turns to look at Karl...

..

Inside number 30, Karl is now in the buff, and shamelessly wandering around the living room, searching for the scratchie. Karl tells Gretchen and Niklas that he’s a naturist too and enjoys the freedom of it all, Gretchen agrees with Karl, saying that she wasn’t too sure how popular it was in the Southern part of Australia but was so pleased to find Toadie and Sonya. “And now there is you,” Gretchen happily concludes to Karl, but Toadie and Sonya are not so happy to have Karl exposing himself to them! Niklas asks Karl how long he has been into this lifestyle and Karl tells Niklas that he’s been like this since his uni days and adds that once he got a taste for it, he couldn’t get enough. Toadie and Sonya look nauseated, and Toadie escapes to make coffee, at which point Karl sees something, and chases Toadie into the kitchen! “Agh! What are you doing? Get off me!” Toadie says. Karl re-emerges, holding the scratchcard victoriously and says to everyone “I found it! It was stuck to his bum! What a day!” Gretchen and Niklas smile, while Toadie and Sonya continue to look traumatised. Karl heads out of number 30, with his scratchcard and his lemons hiding his modesty.

At the Waterhole, Karl is telling Paul and Kyle the story about finding the scratchcard stuck to Toadie. “And then there it was, stuck to Toadie’s bum by a thin sheen of sweat” Karl says. He proceeds to kiss the scratchcard, much to Paul and Kyle’s disgust. Kyle says to Karl “I knew you were tight, but getting nude in front of complete strangers is next-level stuff!”. Karl thanks Kyle but Kyle replies that it wasn’t a compliment. Sheila asks Kyle how the sink is going and Kyle tells Sheila that it's nearly done. She proceeds to banish Kyle into the kitchen to finish fixing the sink, while Karl continues to boast about the $7,000 win. Paul warns him to keep it quiet; however Karl tells Paul that he wants to spread the joy. Paul informs Karl that he should keep it quiet as he’ll be attracting lots of freeloading relatives with that kind of money. Sheila nods in agreement, and Karl contemplates what Paul is telling him.

..

Back at number 30, everyone’s dressed again, and Gretchen promises to consider Toadie’s business pitch and get back to him next week. Gretchen then thanks Sonya for the lunch and proceeds to ask them if they would be interested in joining them for a small holiday to a naturist resort called Jajarawong and comments that it’s only a couple of hours away from Erinsborough. Toadie tells Gretchen that they can’t, and Gretchen suggests that they could come next time instead. However, at this moment Toadie comes clean, and admits he and Sonya were just pretending to be naturists to win their business. “You wanted our business so much that you would have a naked lunch to get it?” Gretchen says to them. Sonya and Toadie both nod in agreement. Gretchen tells Toadie that she is going to draw up the contracts straight away, Toadie can’t believe it and Gretchen adds that he is the most dedicated lawyer they’ve ever had. Thrilled, Sonya and Toadie begin to show them out. Gretchen then turns around and asks the name of the man who was there earlier, and if it’s possible to have his phone number. Without hesitation Toadie says to Gretchen “Karl and yes!”

Karl returns home, declaring that he found his scratchcard, just as Nate has stumbled upon some brochures about professional counselling that Susan had picked up. Nate assumes they’re for him, and tells Susan that he understands if she wants him to see someone else. Susan insists she can manage, and claims she just got the leaflets to get a few tips on how to proceed. Nate thanks Susan and resumes doing the vacuuming. As Nate does the vacuuming, Karl warns her that continuing to counsel Nate is likely to take its toll but Susan tells Karl that it's doing Nate good, and she can handle it.

..

Over at number 30, Toadie is telling Sonya how much he owes her for going above and beyond the call of wifely duty. Realising that they still have the house to themselves, Toadie thinks he can envisage a way of making it up to her but Sonya pulls away, commenting that she’d like to keep her clothes on for a bit! They opt for a movie on the couch instead, and Sonya goes to fetch a DVD from the store, as she wants to keep up with their current 'digital detox'. While she’s gone, Toadie opens some mail to find an unsigned, printed letter inside. It reads ‘Your wife is not who you think she is. Sonya is a drug addict. Gambling addict. Alcoholic.’
