Paul confesses to Steph that he has become a target in prison and requires money... The prisoners give Paul a hard time, until Gary comes to his rescue...
Lauren confesses to Brad that she kissed Ned but didn't tell him to protect his bond with his son... Brad tells Lauren that the bond with his son is
broken... Ned confirms to Lauren that he will pack his bags and move out today... Piper forces Tyler to hide in the laundry room as Terese comes back
from her break...
Piper welcomes her mother home to no. 22 but becomes flustered as Terese wants to go into the kitchen to get a glass of water. She tells Terese that
she should go upstairs and unpack while she gets the drink - Terese misinterprets this as a sign that Piper feels she still needs to take care of her and
she apologises, telling Piper that she should never have gotten herself into such a state just before she left. Piper is understanding but then looks
alarmed as Terese heads towards the kitchen area as Tyler continues to hide in the laundry room.

Terese is just about to go into the laundry room but Piper hastily stops her, telling her that she will deal with the washing to help her mother out.
Unaware that Tyler is hiding, Terese agrees to Piper's request and instead starts to make dinner - Piper quickly closes the laundry room door and tells
Terese to go upstairs to have a rest as dinner is taken care of thanks to Lauren's meal she brought round earlier. Piper takes the opportunity to usher
Tyler out of the house as Terese heads upstairs.
At no. 32, Ned is preparing to leave Erinsborough as Brad arrives home. He tells Brad and Lauren that he is going to head back up to Sydney as it's not a
good idea for him to hang around any longer. Lauren mentions to Brad that she suggested the idea, however Ned tells them that he had already decided a
week ago that it was time to move on. Brad doesn't say anything as he leaves the house once again, leaving Ned to continue packing his things.

At Warrinor Prison, Paul is grateful for Gary's actions in preventing him from getting hurt by the prison bullies and goes over to thank him. Paul jokes
that Gary must have thought he would be the last person he'd see in jail, but Gary tells him it was inevitable Paul would find himself in prison. Despite
his reluctance to talk to the man who put him in jail, Gary listens as Paul asks for his help, telling him that he requires protection whilst inside. Paul
offers to provide information for Gary about life on the outside if he helps him out - Gary doesn't seem sure about this but decides to listen to what he
has to say.
Paige and Lauren are in Harold's talking about Ned - Paige offers to speak to Brad on Lauren's behalf but she tells her that this isn't a good idea. Sad at
the thought of Ned leaving so soon, Paige divulges to Lauren that she was only just getting to know him. Before she can continue Terese enters the kitchen;
she tells Lauren that Piper has told her what she's been up to while she's been away. Paige and Lauren both misunderstand and think that Terese is talking
about Ned, however Terese is referring to the food that Lauren has brought over and is confused as to what is going on. She asks a guilty Lauren exactly
what it is that has happened between her and Ned.

After being informed about Ned and Lauren's kiss, Terese goes to see Brad at the Waterhole to see how he's doing. He can tell that Terese wants to offer
some advice so he lets her continue - Terese tells him that despite Lauren's mysterious hold over the Willis family she hopes that one kiss won't ruin the
relationship between himself and Lauren. Brad is still upset that Lauren didn't tell him about the kiss earlier, but to Brad's surprise Terese defends
Lauren, saying that she can understand her reasons for withholding the information and Brad should understand that Lauren loves him very much. She also
tells Brad that if his relationship with Lauren fails then that means the whole Brad-Lauren-Terese fallout was for nothing, and with the recent death of
one son, Brad shouldn't let his anger and pride ruin his relationship with his surviving son, Ned. Brad is thoughtful as he takes Terese's words on board.
Back at the prison, Paul informs Gary about the things that have been going on in his absence, including Xanthe's problems with Sheila and Kyle calling
the social services. Paul asks Gary if he can provide him with protection now that he's given him this information, but Gary tells Paul that he doesn't
want to do anything to jeopardise his parole hearing. Gary looks unsure about helping Paul as he continues to plead for his assistance, telling Gary that
he doesn't stand a chance of surviving without his help.

At Off Air, Tyler is laying low after the incident at no. 22 as Piper comes over. She wants to talk to Tyler about the romantic moment they had earlier
before they were interrupted by Terese, and Tyler agrees that they are more than just friends, but they need to be careful. Tyler receives a text
message - it's from Ned informing him that he's leaving. Piper is angry at Ned's cowardly actions, but Tyler defends Ned by telling Piper that the reason
he's leaving is because he wants something that he can't have, and she of all people should understand that considering their current circumstances.
Ned is finishing his packing at no. 32 as Brad comes to talk to him - he sees his drawings on the table and asks if he can keep them, to which Ned
agrees as he's not satisfied with them. Brad asks Ned why he thought it was appropriate to kiss Lauren knowing the hurt this could cause. Ned replies
that Lauren made him feel like he belonged in Erinsborough and after a short while he started to fall for her. He thought that Brad and Lauren were
going through a difficult patch and tries to use this as justification for his advances towards her. Despite his unhappiness at Ned's actions, Brad
tells his son that he would still like him to remain close by so they can build on their relationship. Ned confesses to Brad that he still has feelings
for Lauren and he shouldn't blame her but try and rebuild their relationship, telling Brad that in order for him to do this leaving Ramsay Street is
the best option.
 ..
At the prison, Paul is on the phone with Sheila, who is at work at the Waterhole, telling her about his conversation with Gary from earlier in the day
regarding Xanthe and Kyle and how she needs to come and visit Gary. Sheila is confused as to why Paul is suddenly worried about events in the Canning
household, and he confesses to her that he needs a favour. Unsurprised by this response, Sheila learns from Paul that he needs protection in prison and
if she decides to visit her son then Gary is more likely to return the favour and provide Paul with the help he requires. Paul tells her that Gary needs
his brains to help him get out of prison as much as Paul needs Gary's muscle and reluctantly Sheila agrees to his request for a prison visit, on the basis
that Paul may be an asset to her son's hopes of early release.
A taxi is waiting on Ramsay Street as Ned prepares to depart; Piper and Paige have come to see him off, although Piper is still sore about the course of
action Ned took with Lauren. Despite this, Paige and Piper confess their desire for Ned to stay and go over to give him a farewell hug. Brad comes over
and tells Ned that he is welcome to return to Ramsay Street whenever he feels ready, and with that Ned heads into the taxi and away from Erinsborough.
 ..
Sheila is waiting for Gary in the visitors' room; he comes over and looks confused, asking his mum what she is doing there. They both learn that Paul
has been playing them off against the other and Sheila tells Gary that he needs to be careful around him, suggesting that Paul is desperate for help in
prison and will do anything it takes to get what he wants. Gary asks Sheila if the story Paul fed him about Xanthe being in a foster home is true, and
reluctantly Sheila confirms that it is. She tells Gary that he needs to stop being led by Paul and falling for his acts of contrition, but Gary is
unhappy with his mother's inputs, telling Sheila that he can sort out his own problems in prison and he doesn't need her help to sort things out.
Sheila looks astonished at her son's outburst as Gary returns to his cell.
In the break yard, Paul is reading a book as his fellow prisoners come over to hassle him. Gary comes over and they quickly disappear. Paul asks
Gary if he has made his mind up about offering him protection, but Gary wants to know if it will be worth his while. Paul tells him that it will and
is happy with Gary's reaction as he returns to reading his book.
 ..
At no. 32, Paige and Piper are working on a new cookbook as Lauren comes in. They quickly depart as Brad arrives. Lauren once again apologises for the
kiss she shared with Ned, but Brad is understanding, telling her that maybe this is the universe getting back at them both for the way they hurt Terese.
Lauren asks Brad if things are now sorted between the two of them, and Brad suggests that with time they will be. Lauren doesn't sound convinced as he
goes to take a shower.
Piper can't sleep at no. 22 and picks up the phone to call Tyler. She thanks him for the advice he gave her earlier about Ned but jokily tells him
that he now needs to sort out the issues between Brad and Lauren and Terese's alcohol problem. This reminds Piper of the moment she saw Terese on the
floor thinking that she was dead and she says sorry to Tyler for oversharing. Piper then starts talking hypothetically, telling Tyler that if she was
really oversharing she would tell him how she can't stop thinking about him and wants to spend all her time with him. Tyler agrees that he is thinking
along the same lines, and they say goodnight.
 ..
Back at the prison, the prisoners are still giving Paul a difficult time in the break yard, although once Gary arrives they quickly disperse. Paul
reminds Gary that he needs to be protected at all times and of the offer they made earlier. Gary contends that he didn't agree to any offer and anything
that Paul can give him is worth nothing to him. He reminds Paul that he is in prison because of him and then surprises him by saying that he has been
granted parole and will be leaving shortly. Knowing that Gary will no longer be around to protect him, the prisoners suddenly congregate around Paul as
Gary gloatingly wishes him good luck.
