A disbelieving Pierce is at number 28, reading over the note that Hendrix has left as the Kennedys nervously watch on. They are surprised when Pierce tells
them that he will not be following him to Sydney as he is sure that some time spent with his mum to calm down would be best. Susan attempts to call Hendrix
but only reaches his voicemail, before Pierce receives a message on his phone indicating that Hendrix hasn't left Melbourne. With this information in hand,
he rushes out of the door, informing Karl that the wedding plans remain the same and he will leave everything in his hands. Karl wonders if this makes him
the best man now but Susan isn't sure.
..

Wedding preparations are underway at no. 24 as Elly tries her best to calm Chloe down, but unfortunately her worries increase as Pierce arrives to inform
them that Hendrix has run away. It's revealed that the message Pierce received earlier was to confirm that Hendrix used his airline points to book a flight
to Sydney that leaves in a couple of hours, and it is his intention to go to the airport to bring him home. Considering that it is her wedding day Chloe
calmly agrees to the request, informing Pierce that they will meet at the venue, and she will bring the suits. Once Pierce leaves, Chloe's placid manner
soon crumbles as she tells Elly that her amazing day has just turned into a disaster, as she has no idea whether the groom or best man will even show up.
To try and ward Chloe off from postponing the wedding, Elly pleads with her to let Pierce try to sort things out so that she can continue getting ready,
but Chloe isn't sure that this is the best plan as the wedding may not go ahead. Elly struggles to garner any kind of response to this, instead offering
Chloe a sympathy rub of her arm.
At the hospital, David is sitting on the bed as Aaron helps him dress for the wedding, with David joking that he is going to continue the trend of
attending a wedding in a wheelchair. Despite David's attempts at humour Aaron is worried about his condition deteriorating if they attend, but David
tries to assure him that the worst won't happen, and he should instead focus on Chloe and any help she needs with her preparations. Aaron tells David
that Chloe will text him if she needs him, his attention solely focused on his spouse's care.
..

Pierce has managed to track Hendrix's location to a Skybus heading to the airport and hops on board. Still annoyed with his dad after the fallout with
Chloe, Hendrix isn't especially pleased to see him and slyly comments that he must have a wedding to get to. Pierce insists that he won't be going to the
wedding without his son in tow and Hendrix looks surprised at this.
The Panton Hill Winery is the location of Chloe and Pierce's wedding as Terese and Paul arrive, looking impressed with the surroundings. After turning
down the offer of a glass of champagne from a passing waiter, Paul asks Terese if she is going to be okay with other guests drinking alcohol, reminding
her that they can leave at any time she wishes. She looks grateful at Paul's concern, as other guests begin to arrive, including David and Aaron. David
looks fatigued and is trying his best to put on a brave face, although his condition isn't helped by guests continuously asking how he is. They are then
approached by Karl, who stuns Aaron by mentioning that he is now the best man, leaving both David and Aaron confused as to what has happened with Hendrix.
..

Back on the bus, Pierce is struggling to get through to Hendrix as he tries to persuade him that he does care about him, but Hendrix thinks it is all an
act and mentions how he saw him having the 'time of his life' at the buck's party without him there. He goes on to tell Pierce that he has been an absentee
father most of his life and is feeling worried that he will go off and marry Chloe and start a family together, treating Hendrix as if he never existed.
Trying to pick his words carefully, Pierce agrees that he was a terrible dad but is now trying to make up for that, although he does suggest that Hendrix
didn't always make it easy for him. Hendrix is angry at this and retorts:
"You think it was easy when it was my birthday, and you didn't bother to call? Or when I had a cricket match, or a school play and you didn't show up? Or
when I was getting picked on at school and I didn't have anyone? You're my dad! You're meant to be there for me."
Whilst struggling to respond to this outburst of Hendrix's, Pierce's mobile starts ringing and Hendrix assumes it is Chloe phoning him. He tells his dad
to take the call as he has a plane to catch.
A short time later, Pierce is still trying to get Hendrix to listen to him, telling him that he wishes he could go back in time and do things differently,
however he insists that he is here now. Although Hendrix is adamant that he has heard it all before, Pierce pleads with him once again, explaining to
Hendrix that this is his wedding day and he wants to have a proper relationship with his son, starting with him being his best man. Despite Hendrix's
concerns that he will be pushed aside once the nuptials are over, Pierce insists that he will be included in their family going forward, and backs this
up by continuing to ignore his ever-ringing phone. Hendrix can see that Pierce is serious in bringing him back to the wedding no matter what, joking that
Chloe must be freaking out as to his whereabouts. He tries once again to push his dad away by telling him that the bus is about to leave, so Pierce takes
immediate action by threatening to phone Chloe to inform her that they will have to postpone the wedding. Shocked that his dad would take such a course of
action, Hendrix asks him if he would really stand Chloe up at the altar for his sake, but Pierce insists that he would. He is certain that Chloe would
understand the reason for his absence and once again informs Hendrix that he will not be going back to the wedding venue without him.
..

Elly returns to no. 24 and is concerned as she sees that a downcast Chloe is still not ready for the wedding. Having been unable to get through to Pierce,
Chloe informs Elly that there is no need to rush and indicates that it seems as if Pierce is losing the battle to try and convince Hendrix to change his
mind and come to the wedding. An angry Elly suggests that Hendrix needs to pull his head in, but Chloe is more accepting of Hendrix's predicament, stating
that it must be difficult for him to see the person you love marry someone else. This is a clear nod to the difficulties Elly had with Chloe when she
married Mark, and Chloe thinks that what is happening to her must be some kind of karma for past misdeeds. Elly however insists that what happened at her
own wedding was not Chloe's fault, and then tries to lighten the mood by assuring her that Pierce will sort things out with Hendrix so that she gets the
wedding she deserves. Jolted into life by Elly's positive attitude, Chloe decides to get ready as a confused Susan arrives, surprised that the bride to be
is not dressed with the cars arriving soon. As Chloe hurries off to change Elly promises to fill Susan in on the reason for the delay.
Guests are mingling at the Panton Hill Winery as Karl makes a dig about Paul no longer being the 'top dog' at Lassiters having made a deal with Pierce to
settle the hotel lawsuit, although Terese reminds him that she and Paul are still majority shareholders. Before Karl can respond he receives a call from
Susan and excuses himself. Also at the venue are Bea and Finn; Finn notices that Bea is quieter than useful, and she tells him that she has been reassessing
some things in her life including the importance he holds for her. Finn assures Bea that he knows she is always there for him and then declares his love for
her so that she feels it every minute of every day. They then share a heartfelt embrace. Meanwhile, having ended his call, Karl heads over to Aaron and David,
suggesting that they should inform the assembled guests that there is going to be a delay with the service as they still haven't heard from Pierce. He asks
Aaron if he has spoken to Chloe and his silence indicates he hasn't, leaving David feeling unhappy to hear that Aaron has been ignoring his sister's plight.
David reminds Aaron that both he and Karl are doctors and therefore he should focus his attention on Chloe as she needs him today, particularly with the
situation as fraught as it is.
..

A little later, Aaron rushes out to the front of the Winery as he sees Chloe's car arriving at the ceremony. He greets his sister and tells her that she looks
amazing, also informing her that he is up to date with the goings on surrounding Pierce and Hendrix. With David's words from earlier on his mind, he assures
Chloe that he is here for whatever she needs, although Chloe sarcastically replies that there is only one thing she needs, Pierce. Luckily for her and Aaron
a taxi arrives behind the wedding car, with Pierce and Hendrix inside. As he exits the taxi Pierce rushes over to Chloe's car to apologise to her for his
lateness and the drama surrounding his son, however Aaron quickly stops him, informing Pierce that he isn't allowed to see the bride before the ceremony.
Chloe and Pierce conform to protocol whilst managing to communicate what has happened thus far, allowing Pierce to rush off to find his suit. As he leaves
Aaron spots a bashful looking Hendrix slowly walking towards them; he mentions to Chloe that he doesn't look particularly happy to be at the wedding. Chloe
insists that she will talk to him and Aaron ushers Hendrix over to the car before heading back into the venue. She breaks the ice by admitting to Hendrix
how glad she is that he changed his mind, as she understands that today won't be easy for him. Despite her concerns Hendrix is adamant that he wants to be
here and goes off to join his dad in getting changed, leaving Chloe looking relieved and happy that things are finally falling into place.
With Pierce having now arrived and suitably dressed, the wedding ceremony begins as guests stand up, watching as Aaron escorts his sister down the aisle
towards a waiting Pierce. He wishes her good luck before taking the bouquet from her and standing to one side, allowing Pierce to comment on how perfect
Chloe looks. Susan, as celebrant, commences the ceremony with the words:
"Beloved friends and family, it is with great pride and joy that I welcome you to the wedding of Chloe and Pierce."
Chloe and Pierce look lovingly into each other's eyes as Pierce begins his vows, telling Chloe:
"Every moment we spend together, I will love you, adore you and I will do everything I can to make you the happiest woman in this world."
Feeling relieved and overwhelmed that her nearly derailed wedding is back on track, Chloe echoes Pierce's words by telling him:
"After so many adventures, and so much uncertainty, I have never felt safer, more loved, more where I belong than I do with you."
..

There is a brief delay in the ceremony as Aaron becomes emotional and David passes him a handkerchief, much to the amusement of the guests gathered. After
this break in proceedings Susan resumes things by asking for the rings, which Hendrix presents to both Chloe and Pierce. They place the rings on each other's
fingers as Chloe promises Pierce that she will learn and grow with him for the rest of her life. With the final part of the ceremony concluded, Susan happily
declares that Chloe and Pierce are now husband and wife, to claps and cheers from the guests. Despite his denials to Chloe earlier, Hendrix doesn't look
thrilled with events as his father and now stepmother smile and kiss, basking in their newfound happiness.
Photos are being taken of the happy couple along with various guests; Hendrix is forcing a smile as he poses for photos, although Elly notes to Karl that
Hendrix doesn't look particularly comfortable with this, with Karl admitting that he wasn't entirely convinced that Pierce would be able to change his mind.
Karl supposes that Hendrix and Pierce will have time to work through their issues, but Elly mentions that it might be a little bit more complicated than he
thinks. With Karl's curiosity peaked with this comment, Elly walks away but an intrigued Karl follows her, intent on hearing her news. Meanwhile Aaron is
preparing to send some wedding photos to Mark and Tyler ahead of the wedding being repeated in Adelaide, with Chloe mentioning that Mark is going to get
himself tested to see if he is a match for David.
..

..

With guests preparing to make their way to the reception, Pierce takes the opportunity to thank Hendrix for being part of his special day, declaring it as
the 'first memory as a family but not our last'. Hendrix agrees with the sentiment, thanking Pierce for coming to find him before he could take that flight
to Sydney. They share a hug at this.
The reception is now underway as Kyle mentions to Toadie how strange it feels to be here after all the issues with the hotel settlement. They hazard a guess
that if the wedding was a week ago, they wouldn't have received an invite, although Toadie is just relieved that everything is resolved and there is no longer
any bad blood between Pierce and Chloe. Kyle asks him if he feels the same about Paul and Terese, and Toadie admits that he is hopeful that the foundation
will smooth things over with them.
..

Aaron, meanwhile, comes over to thank Elly for fixing things with Chloe, admitting that he dropped the ball slightly with his overriding concerns over David.
Elly tells Aaron that she was more than happy to help, and it also helped to keep her mind off Claudia being back in town. Both Bea and Aaron are curious as
to how long Claudia will be in town for and how involved with the baby she will be, but Elly isn't sure.
After his conversation with Kyle, Toadie and Finn are talking to Terese about the foundation, reassuring her that she will be a fantastic asset to the
initiative. As Paul and Terese head off to get some more drinks, Toadie notices Finn looking over at Elly and explains to him that Terese is the better
person for the position in the long term.
..

Later in the day, Chloe and Pierce are taking a walk outside amongst the vines; Chloe is curious as to how Pierce talked Hendrix into returning to
Erinsborough, but he downplays it by telling her that he was merely honest with his son and allowed him to get some things off his chest. With the family
drama surrounding Hendrix behind them Pierce is hopeful that they have now turned a corner, although Chloe admits that she wasn't entirely sure if they
would get married today, as Pierce agrees that he was cutting it close. He apologises for causing her so much stress, but Chloe assures him that they are
in it together now, before going into her bag and giving him a pair of rainbow diced cufflinks, a Brennan family welcoming present. Chloe jokes that the
dice symbolise that love is a gamble, a gamble which they have won, before they share a passionate kiss.
Inside at the reception, Susan asks Finn when he will next be seeing his mum, before warning him not to be too disappointed with Claudia's lack of parenting
skills. Finn thinks that his mum has changed after Shaun's death, but Susan doesn't look entirely convinced and is hopeful that his optimistic outlook is
proved right. Meanwhile Aaron looks concerned with how pale David is looking as he returns with a drink, quickly calling over Karl as David admits that he
is feeling a little bit light-headed. Looking worried, Karl decides to call the hospital to say that they are heading back, with Toadie volunteering to
drive them. Despite Aaron's alarm over his husband's condition, David orders him to stay at the party so that he can spend some time with his sister.
..

Concerned with the conversation that he had earlier with Elly, Karl notices Hendrix at the bar trying to order an alcoholic drink and gets the bar staff
to change it to a soft drink, before mentioning to Hendrix that he knows the reason why he fled. Hendrix doesn't look happy with his dad divulging the
reason and is even less impressed to find out that it was Elly who told Karl. Deciding to offer Hendrix some advice, Karl understands that he couldn't
help falling in love with Chloe but it's now up to him to not let it affect his relationship with Pierce. As Hendrix informs him that he is dealing with
his issues with his dad, Karl seems pleased and hopes that their father-son talks will have set them on the road to reconciliation. He mentions the second
wedding in Adelaide and Hendrix looks less pleased, telling Karl that he will not be going to Adelaide as he can't stomach the thought of going through the
wedding ceremony again. He then stuns Karl by telling him that he will not be going back to live at no. 24 with Chloe and Pierce either.
