It's Christmas Day on Ramsay Street and, at no. 24, Jane, Nic, Aaron and Isla are happily opening gifts together. Jane shows Isla the bauble that she made,
with David's face on it, and Isla asks Aaron if Santa visited Daddy. Aaron tells his daughter that he did, and quickly changes the subject to lunch. Jane
hurries off to get the turkey ready to go in the oven, while Nicolette says that she got the best present of all this year - a second chance. Nic thanks
them all for having her back, and Isla suggests a group hup. As Nic, Isla and Aaron hug, Jane happily watches on from the kitchen.
..

At the penthouse, Terese arrives, as Krista is taking a photo of Leo, Abi and Paul. Terese comments on the place looking like a wrapping paper tornado has
hit it, as Leo says that he'll go downstairs and pick up some supplies from the hotel. As Paul takes Terese to one side, she explains that she changed her
mind about going to Jane's place, while Leo looks over at Krista, checking that he has something in his pocket. Terese and Paul, meanwhile, are exchanging
gifts and have bought each other the same watch, but Terese is still avoiding public displays of affection and rushes off to help Krista with some drinks.
At no. 32, there's an awkward atmosphere as Byron and Max wish each other a Merry Christmas. Byron asks Sadie what time they're having brunch with Vera, but
they then spot a note on the kitchen bench, saying that she's cancelled as she's meeting Curtis for lunch. Byron and Sadie decide to take Trevor out for a
walk, but Max says that he'll be going over to the penthouse soon, so he won't be in their way all day.
..

The Varga-Murphy family walk into the Waterhole, with Cara disappointed that they're having a pub lunch on Christmas Day, but Remi says that she didn't want
to mess up their clean house just before going on holiday. Cara agrees, but says that they have to tip the staff extra, as they deserve it. Dex then spots
Leo leaving with some bottles of wine and goes over to ask if he's seen Terese. Leo explains that she's having lunch with them, so Dex asks him if he can
pass on a message, explaining that he saw a guy hanging around the builders yard on Power Road last night, and it looked like Krista's friend, Seb. Leo looks
worried, but says he'll pass the message on. He then leaves, as Holly walks in. She finishes up a call with her mum, then spots Cara and goes over to give
her a gift. Dex snaps at her that she can't just bribe her way out of what she's done, and a flustered Holly quickly leaves. Remi and Cara are furious with
their son, quickly realising that this isn't the first time he's taken his anger out on Holly.
At no. 24, Byron, Sadie and Trevor arrive early, telling Jane that Vera cancelled their brunch plans. As they joke about Vera's plans for prune pancakes and
how they had a narrow escape, Aaron calls everyone in for a group photo to send to his family in Adelaide. With everyone distracted, Trevor starts to take an
interest in the food and Byron then asks his mum why she didn't make a turkey. She says that she did, and is horrified to realise that it, along with Trevor,
has gone. Byron rushes outside to find him with Jane left horrified that lunch is now ruined.
..

Back at the Waterhole, Dex is telling Cara about the other times he got angry at Holly, explaining that, even though everyone else has forgiven her, he
won't. He says that Cara wanted to have another baby and Holly took that from her, but Cara can't listen to him and walks away. JJ then reminds his brother
that this happened to their mum and if she wants them to forget about it and move on, then that's what they need to do.
At Harolds, Leo is picking up a gingerbread house for Abi, and notices a man looking lost. Leo asks if he can help, and the man, Chips, says that he's
looking for someone who's staying around here. When he says that he's looking for Sebastian and that he's his cousin, Leo tells him to try Power Road. As
they both leave, Paul and Terese walk in, having been out for a walk together. They kiss, but Terese quickly pulls away when Jane walks in. She asks Paul
if the hotel kitchen might have a spare turkey, but he says no. She explains what's happened and goes to call Byron, as Paul suggests that they could invite
Jane and family up to the penthouse. Paul realises that Terese is reluctant because she doesn't want everyone to find out that they're back together. Terese
admits that she's worried about people judging them, but when Jane comes back over, she decides to invite them all, insisting that there's plenty of food.
Jane is surprised to learn that Terese is spending Christmas at the penthouse, but Terese quickly says that it's a waifs and strays event this year, so the
more the merrier, leaving Paul disappointed that she still hasn't chosen to be honest.
..

At the Waterhole, JJ and Dex are eating alone, when they spot Remi and Cara walk back in. Dex goes over and apologises to Cara, and he says that he'll
apologise to Holly too if it'll make his mum feel better. She says that only a real apology would make her feel better, telling him that it does no good
to hold onto anger and she wants to focus on them having a fun holiday in New York. Dex apologises again and says that he'll go to speak to Holly. They hug,
whilst on the other side of the bar, Nic is filling in Yaz on the change of venue for Christmas lunch and the plans for the day. Yaz says that she would
love to be there and they share a kiss.
At the penthouse, Terese and Jane are helping themselves to the buffet, while Leo plays with Abi and Isla. He hands Abi a ring box and tells her to keep it
safe for him. A very happy Nicolette then arrives, just in time for Paul to make a speech, welcoming everyone and saying that every year he gets to welcome
new members to his family, but also say goodbye to others way too soon. He adds that their lost loved ones live on in their hearts and memories, and in the
children they left behind, and none of them should forget how lucky they were to have loved those people in the first place. He says that he feels very lucky
to have so many friends and good neighbours around and everyone makes a toast. Jane thanks Paul for saving Christmas from Trevor, who everyone is sure is
having the best Christmas ever, but Krista says that she's the one who's having the best Christmas. Nicolette watches Leo and Krista enjoying their time
together, and gets out her phone to contact Yaz.
..

Yaz, meanwhile, is carrying a big bunch of flowers and about to get in the lift in reception when she receives Nic's message telling her to hurry up. She
smiles to herself, but that smile quickly disappears when she spots Holly. Holly explains that she's going to the penthouse for Christmas, so Yaz makes her
excuses and says that she has to deliver some flowers. Holly wishes her a Merry Christmas and gets into the lift, as Yaz goes over and leaves the flowers on
reception.
Back in the penthouse, Nic is frustrated as she receives a reply from Yaz, who says that she's not feeling well and won't be able to make it. Meanwhile,
Jane is chatting to Byron and Sadie, who mention that Vera is spending Christmas with Curtis. Jane is surprised to hear this, as Curtis is in Albury, doing
Auslan Santa with some kids, so Sadie thinks that maybe she just got a better offer. Holly then comes out of the lift, greeted by Aaron, and she asks him if
he'd be able to help out with the lighting during the upcoming Erinsborough Lights Up event. He's delighted to have the chance to earn some extra money after
an expensive Christmas and he heads off to work. As Terese congratulates Paul on the party and everyone prepares to play cricket, Leo and Abi take Krista out
onto the balcony, where she gets the shock of her life as he proposes to her. The guests all realise what's going on and they all cheer and clap as she says
yes.
..

A little later, Paul is officially congratulating Leo and Krista, and welcoming Krista to the family. Meanwhile, Max tells a disinterested Sadie and Byron
that he's going to leave and have a look online at some more share houses. Nicolette then approaches them and says that she's made up a plate of food for Yaz
and is planning to take it to her hotel room, but wonders if it's sweet or pathetic. Byron tells her to go for it, so she says her goodbyes to everyone and
leaves. Terese then decides to make an announcement but, struggling to find the words, she just kisses Paul, quickly clarifying that this isn't another
proposal, but they are back together. Jane says that, if they're happy, then she's happy. Holly checks that Byron and Sadie don't have any other news and
they both very quickly confirm that they don't.
In her hotel room, Yaz is watching Heath's final video to her on her laptop, when she receives a message confirming that her parcel is due to be delivered
to 28 Ramsay Street. Her thoughts are interrupted by a knock on the door - it's Nic with her plate of food. She quickly realises that Yaz isn't feeling unwell
at all, telling her that she could have just been honest if she didn't want to join her for Christmas. She declares that this is a crap way to treat someone,
hands over the food and walks away, leaving Yaz feeling terrible.
..

At no. 28, Holly finishes up a family Zoom call, then answers the door to Dex. He hands her a parcel he found on the doorstep then apologises for the way he
spoke to her earlier. He says that he was trying to do right by his mum, but it's not Holly's fault that Cara can't have kids anymore. Holly smiles and thanks
him, handing him the gift that she was trying to give to Cara earlier. He says that he'll see her next year and he leaves. As Holly goes to open the parcel,
she gets another call from her mum, who's caught up in some romantic dramas with a Sexy Santa and a Hot Elf.
At no. 32, Max arrives home to find Vera sitting alone at the table, with a glass of eggnog and flashing reindeer antlers, looking very sorry for herself.
She claims that Curtis cancelled on her, but Max says that he knows that he went to Albury. Realising that she's been home alone all day, Max says that she
should have come over to the penthouse, but Vera then tells him that she overheard them talking about her the previous night. Max insists that he didn't mean
what he said, but Vera thinks that he did - and that he was right, as she doesn't belong in the share house. She admits that she didn't want to go back to
living alone, as she's come to realise that she likes having the company, so Max offers to stay with her and get them some food. Vera explains that she's
eaten all of the chocolate and prunes - so things could get ugly later - but Max opens up his phone and says that he'll order a takeaway, with Vera requesting
tacos.
..

Back at no. 28, Holly is still on the phone, trying to unravel her mother's complicated love life, and suggests that she should speak to her therapist.
When Izzy explains that her therapist is the one she kissed, a horrified Holly says that she has to go and hangs up. She then finally opens the parcel,
finding a bottle of Scent by Zelda, with a note reading 'I want you just wearing this. Heath XXX'. Horrified, she throws it down and, starting to have a
panic attack, she tries to call Sadie, who isn't answering.
At the airport, the Varga-Murphys are waiting for their connecting flight to Sydney, as Dex and JJ try to persuade Remi and Cara to swap seats with them,
so they can sit in the aisle. With everyone else distracted, Cara looks up and spots her sister, Chelsea, nearby, shocked to see that she's heavily pregnant.
..

..

..

On Power Road, Byron and Sadie are out for a walk when Max comes out of Grease Monkeys. They awkwardly greet each other, and Max explains that he's picking
up food for Vera, as she overheard them talking about her and has been upset about it all day. Max then walks off, stopping to help a guy fix his bike, while
Sadie and Byron try to work out how to make it up to Vera. Byron decides to go and get some wine from the bottle shop, whilst Sadie notices Seb drop some
money as he walks past her. She calls out and hands it to him, just as a car comes speeding around the corner in their direction. Max sees what's about to
happen and jumps out to save Sadie, and Byron screams his girlfriend's name as the car collides with her, Max and Seb...
