Paul and Terese are back together... Leo proposes to Krista and she accepts... Yaz sends Holly a gift that claims to be from Heath... Yaz realises
that Holly is going to the penthouse for Christmas and backs out... Nicolette tells Yaz that she could have just said no rather than pretending to be
unwell... Holly freaks out after receiving the perfume from Heath... Max thanks his dad for helping him to find somewhere safe to live... Max tells Jane
that there was some drama with Byron and Sadie and they've asked him to leave... Krista offers to give Seb the money to pay off his debts... A man is
looking for Seb and Leo tells him to try Power Road... A car drives straight at Seb and Sadie, and Max jumps in to push Sadie out of its path...
Seb, Max and Sadie are all lying in the road, as Byron rushes over. He checks on Sadie, who insists that she's fine, and on Max, who's clearly in a lot
of pain. Byron tells him not to move and goes to check on Seb, who is unconscious. He then calls for an ambulance and tells them what happened. The car,
meanwhile, has crashed into the front of the builder's yard.

At the Waterhole, Aaron takes a tray of espresso martinis to a table, surprised to see that Rhett is there, spending Christmas Day with his friends. They
wish each other a Happy Christmas and make small talk. Rhett says that it's a shame that Aaron is working and can't join them, but Aaron has already
returned to the bar, feeling very awkward about the whole thing. Aaron then watches as Rhett opens a gift from one of his friends and quickly makes his
excuses and leaves the pub.
At number 28, Holly is suffering from a panic attack when there's a knock at the door - it's Yaz. She says that she came to give Holly a Christmas gift,
but notices that she's clearly distressed and hugs her, smiling to herself as she spots the bottle of perfume.

Back at the Waterhole, Aaron spots Rhett walking back in, and asks him if everything's alright. Rhett explains that his friend has just regifted him some
awful candles that he got her last year and he isn't sure how to handle the situation, as she clearly doesn't remember. Aaron says that a lemon and bacon
scented candle doesn't sound that bad, so Rhett asks if he'd like them. As they joke about it, Rhett asks Aaron if he'd like to go out for a drink, and
Aaron quickly says no and that he has to work. Aaron then hurriedly walks away as Rhett shakes his head and goes to rejoin his friends.
At the penthouse, Krista finishes up a phone call with Melanie, who was very excited to hear about the engagement, and tells Leo that Reece also sent a
nice message. As Paul and Terese giggle together, Jane, Leo and Krista realise that they're in the way, so decide to go and see how Nicolette is getting
on, looking after Isla and Abigail. Paul says that they haven't even had dessert yet, but they all leave anyway.

As they leave the hotel, Jane gets a message from Byron, explaining that he's at the hospital with Sadie and Max, as a car deliberately drove at them.
She then tells Krista that Seb was also hit and he's unconscious, so the three of them immediately head to the hospital.
At number 28, Holly apologises for letting Yaz see her in such a state, but Yaz insists that she can talk to her about anything. Holly explains that she
just feels like she's falling apart and that she worked so hard to improve her mental health, but she keeps getting hit from all sides. She says that she
can't understand how she can move on. Yaz suggests that they talk about Heath, admitting that she's heard some gossip about him and Holly, so Holly starts
to open up, admitting that she knew Heath was a player, but she didn't care as she was having so much fun. She confirms that Heath was already in a
relationship with Tess Carmichael, but she just saw that as a challenge and then everything just went wrong. Yaz then suggests that it would make Holly
feel better if she explained the full story.

At the hospital, Dr Hart is checking on Sadie, who says that she's feeling much better now that the shock has worn off. Dr Hart says that it's thanks to
Max's quick instincts that her injuries weren't much worse. Sadie says to Byron that it's scary to think what might have happened if it hadn't been for Max,
who hears his name from the next bed as he's waking up. Dr Hart checks that he still knows his name and where he is, before he tries to get up, clearly in
pain. Dr Hart says that, although he didn't break anything, they need to keep him in for observation. Max then checks that Sadie and Byron are both OK, and
Byron asks after Seb, who Dr Hart explains has fractured his collarbone. Max asks what happened to the driver of the car and Byron explains that he lost
control and crashed, hitting his head on the steering wheel. Sadie then thanks Dr Hart, as Max takes his phone from the bedside table and considers calling
his dad, but changes his mind.
Back at number 28, Holly is telling Yaz how she was initially attracted to Heath because of his wealth and how he bought her a very expensive necklace. Yaz
asks how Holly and Heath ended up in the outback - Holly says that it was just a romantic getaway that he invited her on, and it was perfect at first, but
then something changed. Yaz asks if they argued, and Holly confirms that they did, but then clams up when Yaz asks what they argued about. Holly says that
she can't talk about it, despite Yaz pushing her to open up more, she says that she'd rather talk to her therapist.

At the hospital, Max is ignoring calls from his dad, as Jane sits with him and confirms that she called Shane to let him know what was happening. Max lies
that he and his dad have been messaging and everything's fine. Krista then asks if they think that there's a possibility that this could have been an
accident. Byron says that it seemed deliberate, but they're not sure who he was aiming at. Krista takes Leo to one side, wondering if it was directed at
Seb, though she can't understand why, when she gave him the money to pay off his debts. Leo reminds her that there was that guy looking for Seb at Harolds
too, but Krista says that they shouldn't worry until they know for sure. Meanwhile, after hearing that Max has to stay in overnight, Jane goes to get some
takeaway, while Leo and Krista go to check on Seb. Sadie then thanks Max for what he did, and Byron adds his thanks too, before admitting that he and Sadie
have been talking about would like Max to stay on at number 32. Max happily agrees to make a fresh start with them.
At the Waterhole, Paul gives Terese her Christmas gift - the glass heart from the B&B where they got back together. She can't believe he stole it, but he
says that he couldn't resist and that he wanted a reminder, telling her that every time she doubts their relationship, she should look at it. He apologises
if Terese felt rushed into telling everyone about their reunion, but she says that she didn't and that she's realised that she doesn't need Paul. She tells
him that she wants to expand Eirini Rising into a national franchise, she wants to build a holiday home near Piper and she wants to set up a foundation for
businesswoman who've battled addiction. She adds that, even though the wants on her list are always shifting and changing, Paul is always on it too. She
tells him that she's sure that she wants him back in her life then suggests that they go back to the penthouse and order food. As they leave, Jane is
collecting food to take to the injured parties and asks Aaron if he's OK. He asks her if she remembers Rhett, explaining that they had an awkward encounter
earlier. As he tells her that Rhett asked him out and it sounded like a date, Jane suggests that, if Aaron feels ready, then there's nothing wrong with
exploring a new relationship. She also points out that it needn't be a big commitment and could just be fun.

At the hospital, Krista is talking to Dr Hart, trying to find out more about Seb's condition. She tells Krista and Leo that it'll take a while for him to
recover from his injury but he's lucky things weren't much worse after a targeted attack. Hearing this, Leo asks if Dr Hart knows that Seb was definitely
the target, so she tells him that the police found a picture of Seb on the driver's phone. Krista looks through the window at Seb in his hospital bed,
upset that she didn't believe that he was really in danger. She can't understand why they still went after him when she'd helped him to pay off the debt,
so Leo tells her to double check that the money transfer went through. She finds that Seb transferred the money back to her, so he can't have paid off the
loan sharks. Leo feels terrible for telling that guy exactly where to find Seb, but Krista says that he couldn't have known what would happen, becoming
upset as she realises that Seb could have died.
Paul and Terese are in the lift, on the way up to the penthouse and barely able to keep their hands off each other. As they get out of the lift, they
start kissing. Terese reminds Paul that they were supposed to be ordering food, but he just carries on kissing her.

At number 32, Jane is fussing over Byron and Sadie, even going as far as trying to feed Sadie her food, when Holly arrives, having heard what's happened.
Byron makes his mum see that she's going overboard, insisting that they're both fine, so she leaves. As Byron sees her out, Holly sits with Sadie, saying
that she's glad she's OK. Sadie notices that Holly isn't her usual self and mentions the missed call from earlier, asking what happened. Holly insists that
Sadie has enough to worry about, but Sadie pushes her, so Holly explains that she received a gift from Heath earlier. She says that he must have ordered it
months ago, but it was still very creepy. Sadie is sorry that she couldn't be there to help, but Holly points out that she had a good excuse, adding that Yaz
turned up and was a great support.
At the Waterhole, Yaz is watching the video of Heath on her phone, but is distracted by a conversation happening nearby, between Aaron and Rhett. Aaron
apologises for his behaviour earlier and asks if Rhett would like to go out sometime. Rhett agrees, assuming it's just going to be hanging out as mates,
but Aaron corrects him, explaining that he's asking him out on a date. Rhett happily agrees and goes to rejoin his friends, while Yaz smiles to herself.
Her smile fades, however, as she looks at a message she sent to Nicolette, asking if they can talk, which Nic has seen but hasn't replied to.

Back at the hospital, Krista and Leo are by Seb's bedside as he starts to wake up. She checks if he's in any pain and he says that he's fine, before asking
what happened. Leo explains that a car drove at him deliberately, but that the driver is in the hospital and under guard. Krista apologises for not taking
Seb more seriously, but Seb thinks that she had every right not to believe him. She tells him that she knows that he returned the money and he admits that he
realised, as soon as he left her apartment, that he'd made the wrong choice. As she comforts him, he notices the engagement ring and weakly congratulates her
as she tells him that they have the chance to do things properly now.
Krista and Leo arrive back at the penthouse and she is now determined to help Seb, with Leo insisting that he'll support her in whatever she wants to do. As
they talk, Terese suddenly appears from the bedroom, wearing nothing but Paul's shirt. She quickly says that she just wanted some water, but is followed out
by Paul, describing himself as Captain Love. When he sees Leo and Krista, he grabs Terese and they rush back to the bedroom, as Leo says that he and Krista
should probably make a lot of noise as they arrive home from now on, just until Paul and Terese are through the honeymoon phase.

At the hospital, the guard outside the driver's room goes to take a phone call, as Max then sneaks by. He looks at the man in the hospital bed then phones
his father. After telling him that he's fine, he says that he's seen the driver and he doesn't think it's 'him'...
