flames, Roxy, Max and Byron continue their efforts to try and get out of the padlocked doors.
..

At no. 30, everyone is struggling with the new living arrangements, and Chelsea promises the boys that she won't be around for long. Cara insists that it'll
do Dex and JJ good to share a room for a while, whilst Taye offers to look around for a room somewhere else. Remi says that nobody will be moving out, and
berates her sons for making their guests feel so unwelcome. Dex apologises to Chelsea, who says that she understands that it's a very full house - though
Remi adds that it's a full house that they feel very fortunate to have.
At no. 22, Terese is packing up some of her belongings, as Paul confirms that the removal truck is arriving first thing in the morning. Nell receives a
message from her dad, saying that he's made it back safely to Colac, whilst Terese insists that she's still going ahead with her plans to rent the house
fully-furnished, so she's only taking her personal effects. Paul is happy that Chelsea's return hasn't completely derailed things for them, and he kisses
Terese and leaves. Nell then checks that Terese is really ok, explaining about how Sonya found it very difficult to adjust when Hugo appeared in their lives
but she soon fell in love with him. Terese admits that she doesn't want them to get ahead of themselves just yet, as they still have to do the DNA tests.
..

At Harolds, Shane is asking Andrew about the police plan to catch Carter - Andrew admits that there are no guarantees but this is their best chance to lure
him in, adding that they will keep Max safe above everything else. Holly then rushes in, telling them that Max has gone to the garage to pick up an emergency
passport and that she's been trying to call Roxy but can't get hold of her. The three of them then quickly leave.
At the garage, Roxy, Max and Byron finally manage to free themselves - Byron sends Roxy over to Grease Monkeys to get help and a fire extinguisher and calls
out to Nic and Sadie, saying that they'll try and open the door from the outside. He and Max then try to push it open, as Nic and Sadie struggle with the
smoke.
..

At no. 30, as she takes another chance to hold Thomas, Cara tells Chelsea that she's sorry for abandoning her. Chelsea admits that it hasn't been easy, but
it was special to have so much time with her son, adding that her other kids still don't want anything to do with her. Cara then apologises for the way she
treated her at the airport, but Chelsea insists that she doesn't hold it against her, given everything she did when she was last in Erinsborough. Cara sends
Chelsea off to get ready for bed, just as Remi walks in, worried as she sees her wife holding Thomas again. She explains that she wanted to help when she
asked Chelsea and Thomas to stay, but checks that it won't be too difficult for Cara, having a baby in the house. Cara tells her that Thomas is her nephew
and she wouldn't miss him for the world.
Back at the garage, as Byron and Max continue to struggle to get the door open, Roxy rushes back with a blanket. Byron puts it over himself and goes back
inside, where he's forced to choose between helping his sister or his girlfriend. He eventually helps Nicolette up from the ground, covers her with the
blanket and takes her to safety, as Sadie looks back. Just as he turns to go back, Byron is horrified as a burning beam falls from the ceiling onto Sadie.
..

Outside, as Nicolette sits on the ground in shock, Byron and Max are still trying to push open the roller door. Andrew, Shane and Holly then come running up and
quickly help, pushing it up just enough for Andrew to get underneath. He pulls Sadie outside and she immediately starts screaming about the pain on her back.
Andrew tries to comfort her as everyone else looks on in horror. The police and ambulance then arrive.
At the hospital, Nicolette and Roxy are both frantic with worry as they're being treated, whilst Andrew, Shane, Max and Holly wait for news. Byron joins them
and Holly tells him that there's no news on Sadie, but Roxy and Nicolette will both be fine. Andrew wonders why they haven't heard anything, but Shane says
that burns are always tricky to deal with. Byron says that he would have taken both Nic and Sadie if he could have, but Max tells him that it's not his fault.
Andrew then turns on Max, reminding him that he was supposed to stay in the hotel and that this is all his fault. Shane quickly takes Andrew to one side and
tells him to calm down, pointing out that Carter is the only person to blame for any of this and that Max is just as much a victim as anyone.
..

The next morning at the penthouse, Terese is on the phone to Kyle, telling him that Roxy is going to be fine. Paul then also finishes up a call with Shane,
just as Nell comes in, shocked to hear them talking about a fire. Terese tells her what happened, and that Sadie is in hospital with burns, but she's been
lucky. Paul then hands Nell her own keycard for the apartment, whilst she gives him a package that was left at reception for him. He jokes about her setting
a dangerous precedent by bringing up his mail, but the good mood quickly fades when he realises that it contains the DNA test.
At the hospital, Aaron arrives and reports that Jane is on her way too. He says that he hasn't heard anything about Sadie either, then Melanie arrives to
check in on everyone. Holly tells her that Sadie is still being treated and Aaron reports that Byron is with Nicolette. Mel decides to go and check on Nic
and Byron, just so she can reassure Vic that everything is ok. As she goes, Andrew comes in with CCTV footage of the arsonist, explaining that it's Lachie
Jensen and he's the same person who spiked Aaron's drink - and probably Sadie's. Aaron doesn't recognise him, but Andrew tells the group that Roxy knew him.
He explains that Lachie deliberately befriended Roxy when she was working for Shane in Brisbane, in order to try and find out Max's whereabouts. Holly says
that they thought it was Kasey who led Carter to Max, but Andrew confirms that it was Roxy, but she doesn't know yet. He says that he'll let her know once
she's been discharged.
..

At no. 30, Jeffrey arrives and receives a look of disgust from Paul. Remi then begins the DNA tests, taking swabs from Paul, Jeffrey and Thomas. As an
uncomfortable Terese watches on, Paul reaches out to the baby, but stops himself.
Back at the hospital, Byron and Nicolette are finishing up a call with Jane, who says that she loves them and will be there soon. Nic checks how Byron and
is doing and he admits that he feels terrible because he couldn't help Sadie. Andrew then appears and tells them that Sadie is allowed visitors, so Byron
rushes off to see her.
..

Sadie is lying on her front with bandages across her back and she's happy to see her dad, telling him that she's been asking for him. He says that he's
been waiting to be allowed in, but Sadie is upset when she spots Byron hanging around in the doorway. He asks her if she's in pain, but she looks to her
dad and asks why Byron is there. She becomes distressed and says that she doesn't want to see him, telling him to get out, so he promptly leaves.
Roxy is telling Holly about Lachie and how she wishes she'd just cut him off completely when he was sniffing around her in Brisbane. Holly says that she
wasn't to know what he was planning, but Roxy still feels terrible. Max tells her that none of this is her fault and that Andrew was right - he's the one
to blame for bringing Carter into their lives. Shane says that Andrew was just upset about Sadie when he said that, and that he didn't mean it, though Max
isn't convinced. Andrew then joins them and explains that Sadie is comfortable but they won't know how bad things are until she's seen the burns specialist.
Shane says that Carter has a lot to answer for, and Andrew insists that they'll catch him and make him pay. Max isn't so sure, but Andrew says that Lachie
is now being questioned and is being very cooperative, at which point Holly reminds Roxy that this isn't her fault. Andrew then takes a call from Wendy,
who's arrived at the hospital.
..

At the Waterhole, Chelsea is sitting with Jeffrey, who says that he would have helped her if he'd known about the baby. She reminds him that they didn't
part on the best of terms, but he insists that he would have made himself available for this. He tells her that he has no romantic interest in her now, but
if he is the father, she won't be alone. He realises that she would prefer for Paul to be the father - she denies this, but he isn't convinced.
At the penthouse, Terese hands Paul the crystal heart that represents their unbreakable bond, and she reminds him that, the day before, he said that he was
hoping that he wasn't Thomas's father. She then asks what he's going to do if he is. He insists that he won't let Chelsea come between them, but admits that
he's made a lot of mistakes with his children - being absent from their lives and causing them a lot of pain when he was around them. Terese becomes worried
as Paul says that he sees Thomas as a chance to be a better father.
..

At no. 32, a delighted Max receives the news that Carter has been arrested and is in custody. Holly is very happy for him and they hug.
At Harolds, Aaron and Melanie are looking at some of the images from the exhibition, wondering who the people are. Mel says that she'll ask Nell, as she
researched the whole suburb for the project and they joke about how there's a whole suburb outside of Ramsay Street. She tells him that things are going
well with Vic and it's been lovely to catch up with everyone at the wedding, but tells Aaron that it's way too soon to be thinking about her own nuptials,
even if she did catch Krista's bouquet.
..

Back at no. 32, Trevor is happily playing in the garden and Max says that he doesn't seem to have been too traumatised by the fire. Holly checks that Max
is ok too, before asking what else the police said about Carter. He tells her that they're going to throw the book at him, so he should be going to prison
for a long time. He then expresses his relief at the whole thing finally being over and thanks Holly for her recent support, even if he didn't make things
easy for her. She says that he was under a lot of pressure, but he apologises for his lack of gratitude and she admits that, when she saw the fire, she was
immediately worried that all of her friends were gone. They make a joke about how she's grown used to having him around - like a bad smell - and he tells her
how glad he was that she wasn't at the garage too. They lean in for a kiss, but it's interrupted by Trevor's barking.
At the hospital, Sadie wakes up to find her mum looking back at her. She's very surprised to see her, asking why she isn't out with her school excursion, but
Wendy says that they can spare her and that she wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. She wants to to know how her daughter is feeling and demands an
honest answer, and Sadie becomes tearful as she says that Byron just left her there.
..

At the Waterhole, Cara apologises to Paul for keeping this from him, adding that she assumes he's annoyed with Nicolette too, but she hopes that, with time,
he will understand why she did things the way she did. Paul admits that it's a complicated situation, and Cara nods and goes to sit with Chelsea and baby
Thomas. Just then, Remi's phone rings and everyone looks on as she thanks the caller for expediting the results. She then announces that Paul is the father.
Whilst Chelsea and Jeffrey can hardly contain their joy, Terese and Paul look stunned by this outcome.
