After falling off a ladder onto some metal guttering whilst working at Lassiters, Cara Varga-Murphy was rushed to hospital for an operation to repair damage to her bowel and other organs. After returning home, she was reluctant to rest and ended up causing a tear in her stitches, leading to her developing sepsis. Back in hospital for another operation, it was found that the sepsis had spread and, following the operation, surgeon Dr Urma Ackerman told Cara's wife, Dr Remi Varga-Murphy, that they had been forced to perform a hysterectomy.
