Colin Adamson 1985

After signing a lease to housesit for Ian Burns at his large house for three months, Daphne Lawrence became convinced that there was a prowler, as things were moved, lights were turned back on and she woke up one morning to find a lamp knocked over and toast in the toaster. Daphne ran out of the house and contacted the police and, as she waited in the back garden for them to arrive, a man appeared at the back wall. He explained that his name was Colin and he and his family lived next-door - having moved to the nicer suburb when his dad won the pools. Colin was relieved to find that Daphne was more down to earth than most of the people in the area and they quickly struck up a friendship as he helped her to take her mind off the strange goings on at the house. Daphne's casual boyfriend Shane Ramsay, however, was less impressed with Colin and Daphne spending time together, even suggesting that Colin might be the one causing all the problems and it was foolish of Daphne to be alone with him in the house. However, soon after, Daphne caught her intruder - a teenage girl by the name of Rachel - Ian Burns' daughter, who was trying to scare Daphne into moving out.
