When event organiser Miranda Parker was given the task of organising a press launch for the new book, It’s Hot In Here by celebrity chef Tony Aristedes, she was forced to change venue at the last minute and ended up using local hangout Charlie’s bar. As Tony arrived, Miranda turned into a giggling schoolgirl, much to the horror of her husband, Steve, while their neighbours Harold Bishop and Lou Carpenter, fought over who was Tony’s biggest fan. Later, Steph Hoyland, owner of the bar and a local councillor, asked Tony to stay and prepare a few canapés, in the hope that her celebrity guest would impress her council colleagues, who she was having problems winning over.
