When aspiring footballer Paul McClain was given a trial with the NRL with coach Alan Baker, things were going well until Paul went in for a hard tackle, knocking Alan to the ground and dislocating his shoulder. Despite this mishap, Alan phoned Paul the next day to explain that he was considering him a late entry for the drafts, and Paul was then picked up by the Adelaide Crows team.
