Two years after the death of his wife, Sonya, Toadie Rebecchi decided that he needed to get back into the dating game and joined Tinder. Having exchanged a few messages with a woman named Mary Barnett, he arranged to meet her for coffee, where Mary told him about her chocolate shop, her love of 60s music and her newfound hobby of knitting. Though Toadie immediately felt a spark with her and sent her a message soon after the date, he was disappointed when she didn't reply and later disappeared from his list of matches. Worried that there was a glitch on the app, Toadie was upset when his friend Kyle explained that Mary clearly hadn't felt the same spark and this was the easiest way of getting that message across in the world of modern dating.
