Detective Inspector Chad Barrett was assigned to the case of Larry ‘Woody’ Woodhouse, who had been released from prison only weeks before he was due to testify against local criminal Kev Kelly. In the days leading up to the trial, Woody and his girlfriend, Steph Scully, not to mention Steph’s family, became victims of an intimidation campaign on Kev’s part, but it didn’t stop Woody giving his evidence in court. When Kev started shouting threats at Woody across the court room, D.I. Barrett advised that Woody should go into witness protection.
