Only weeks after arriving in Erinsborough, Nicolette Stone joined cousins Kyle and Levi Canning for a drink, having already made it clear to Levi that she was only interested in women. As she and Levi lamented their lacks of love lives, Levi spotted a woman across the bar and attempted to chat her up, only to be knocked back. It quickly became clear that the woman, Alex, was looking at Nicolette. In an attempt to take her mind off the married Chloe Brennan, Nicolette decided to go and chat to Alex, and they ended up going back to her hotel room. A few weeks later, having had no other contact with her, Nicolette contacted Alex and arranged to meet for a drink. It quickly became clear that this was another attempt by Nicolette to get Chloe off her mind, something that Alex soon realised. Alex pointed out that Nicolette clearly didn't want to be on their date and would rather be with Chloe. As Nicolette left the bar, Alex couldn't resist calling after her, telling her to say hi to Chloe, something which was overheard by Chloe's stepson, Hendrix. Hendrix then got chatting to Alex, who confirmed his suspicions that Nicolette was interested in Chloe.
