After his friend Kasey was roofied, Max Ramsay got his revenge on one of the men who'd been responsible for her assault, roofied him back and drove him out and dumped him in the middle of nowhere. After the man almost died of sunstroke and turned out to be the younger brother of a Brisbane gangster, Max's dad Shane decided to send him to Erinsborough until the heat had died down. Although only Kasey and Shane were aware of what Max had done, he was still very nervous that his past would catch up with him and became increasingly paranoid after being almost hit by a car, then electrocuted. Though neither incident had been deliberately aimed at him, he still became very worried when a car with Queensland number plates pulled up outside the garage where he worked. A man named Chase got out of the car and spoke to Holly Hoyland, who'd been helping Max due to the burns on his hands, and found out that he was looking for a shop that sold protein powder and that the GPS in his car had misdirected him. Despite this simple explanation, Max overreacted and closed up the garage for the day, later finally opening up to Holly about why he'd come to Erinsborough and why he was so nervous after seeing the car from Queensland.
