When her housemate Chris Pappas wandered off, sleepwalking, late one night, Sheila Canning went out after him, and soon found herself getting the attentions of a strange man. As Sheila struggled to catch Chris, Derek Blasko slowed his car down and asked Sheila if she needed some help or was looking for some company. In the darkness, Sheila was unable to see his face, but made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with him. In her panic, she hid, and when the car caught up to her, she was relieved to realise that it was her neighbour, Senior Constable Matt Turner, who helped her to get Chris home, and suggested that Sheila had been through a bit of an ordeal too and perhaps she should talk to someone. Though Sheila insisted that she was fine, her behaviour and suspicion towards complete strangers, showed otherwise.

• Although John Jones was credited as playing Derek in episode 6743, the character was only shown in flashbacks to the previous episode
