After vlogger Piper Willis started receiving more and more online abuse, things took a shocking turn when a SWAT team suddenly burst into her house on Ramsay Street, terrifying her, her mum Terese and sister Paige. They revealed that they'd had a call to say that a baby had been a victim of a knife attack but Paige quickly pointed out her baby son, Gabe, who was fine and suggested that they had the wrong house and that they should call her neighbour, Mark Brennan, a police officer. When Mark arrived, he found the SWAT team leaving, with Jeff saying that it seemed like a targeted hoax, leaving Piper deeply worried about the increasingly dangerous threats against her. It later turned out that the person responsible, known online as IncogNitro, was actually Evan Lewis, who worked at Fitzgerald Motors and didn't like young women like Piper having a voice.

A few years later, Kurt was part of the team who arrived at Erinsborough High when corrupt detective, Dax Braddock, held teachers and students hostage after he was revealed to be part of a local drugs ring. The following year, Kurt and Andrew Rodwell tracked down missing Brent Colefax, who'd gone on the run, suspected of a recent, violent robbery of power tools at The Hive.
