When Lucia Cammeniti started planning her eldest daughter, Rosetta’s, wedding to Frazer Yeats, she got the whole family, including aunties Angelica and Sofia, involved. The three women turned up at Rosie’s house with bridal magazines and canapés, ready to plan everything down to the last detail, and were joined as they arrived by Tom Kennedy, the father of neighbour Karl, who was suffering from dementia and, by the end of the afternoon, believed that he’d be attending the wedding with Aunty Angelica. Tom was quickly brought down to earth when Karl’s stepson Zeke came looking for him, while the rabble of Italian women were also put in their place by Frazer, who told them that it was Rosie’s wedding and the decisions should be hers.
