As he awaited the results of tests to see if he had cancer, Hendrix Greyson was unable to confide in girlfriend Mackenzie Hargreaves, claiming that his distant behaviour was due to worries about school. When Mackenzie saw Greg Cantor, the owner of Lanzini's Restaurant, come into Harold's Cafe, she decided to approach him. She explained that her boyfriend was a budding chef and would be interested in work experience at Lanzini's, so Greg agreed to stay and see what Hendrix was capable of. Unfortunately, when she told Hendrix about this, she failed to realise that he couldn't cope with any more pressure and, after waiting for a while, then looking into the cafe kitchen, a confused Greg left Harold's, failing to notice that Hendrix was curled up on the floor, suffering from a panic attack.
