Johan Classen 2025
Occupation: Worldly Gems Principal Director

As Lassiters Hotel in Erinsborough decided to bid for the prestigious Bronze Bell award - given to the hotel that staged the best event - owner Paul Robinson called on the help of former Erinsborough resident, Annalise Hartman. The assistant manager of Lassiters in Manchester, Annalise had helped that hotel win the award two years earlier, and Paul was confident that she could do the same in Erinsborough. He quickly annoyed co-owner and co-manager Krista by bringing in Annalise, who had come up with the suggestion that they could stage the Worldly Gems Jewellery Expo, and he soon caused more problems as he pitted the two women against each other. As the hotel prepared to pitch to the Principal Director of Worldly Gems, Johan Classen, Paul and Annalise put more noses out of joint as they tried to tidy things up around the hotel and get all of the staff in line. Nicolette Stone, the manager of Harolds Cafe, was annoyed when it was suggested that the cafe staff needed to start wearing a uniform, whilst teenager Nell Rebecchi was very upset when Annalise suggested that the space used by the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation, set up in memory of Nell's late mother, could be moved out and the area used for the jewellery displays.

As he arrived to look over the hotel, Johan was initially unimpressed, as the Worldly Gems signage had arrived late and wasn't yet on display. Paul, Krista and Annalise attempted to distract him with a tour of the hotel and a drink in its piano bar, and it seemed that he was being won over, until he went out in the main complex. Nicolette and Nell had managed to get their revenge, emptying out the contents of the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation all over the place, with Nicolette also wearing one of the hotel uniforms, that she'd cut up into a skimpier version. As Krista swept Johan away to the hotel office, explaining that it had all been the actions of a disgruntled employee, Paul and Annalise started getting things cleared up, and Paul realised just how much their actions had hurt Nell, apologising to her and agreeing to find somewhere else for the jewellery displays. Having managed, against all odds, to win hosting for the expo, the hotel then started making preparations.
