After weeks of investigation into the hit-and-run, and subsequent death, of Robbo Slade, swimmer Hudson Walsh eventually came clean when his alibi fell through. He made a full confession and was then charged with the crime, with Constable Miranda Coby taking his fingerprints before he was later taken away for his bail hearing.

A couple of years later, Miranda was helping Mark Brennan to catch local criminal Dennis Dimato. With the police convinced that he was responsible for a car stealing ring, they had planted trackers in several cars in the areas after a tip-off, and Mark was delighted when Miranda told him that one of the cars was now on the move. Mark then set off with the team in pursuit of the car, unaware that the driver was none other than his younger brother, Tyler, who only just managed to escape as the police swooped in and arrested Dimato.
