When Taj Coppin’s girlfriend Allie Corbett moved away to Perth with her family, the couple never officially ended the relationship, so when Taj then started dating Nina Tucker, his sister Tahnee was quick to report back to Michelle Scully, Nina’s best friend, that Taj already had a girlfriend. Michelle was appalled and soon told Nina, though she accepted Taj’s explanation that it was over, they just hadn’t confirmed it with each other. When Allie then came to stay with the Coppin family for the holidays, Taj couldn’t quite find the right time to tell her about his new girlfriend, and Allie was shocked when Nina walked into the Coffee Shop and kissed him. Allie stormed off, with Taj in hot pursuit, trying to explain. Allie eventually accepted that it was over and agreed to remain friends with Taj and, before heading home, she told him that she hoped his relationship with Nina worked out, though she was still sorry that they had to split up.
