After getting a job in housekeeping at Lassiter's Hotel, Rhiannon Bates offered to help one of the male guests by sneaking in some pastries for him, as his wife wouldn't let him have them. Mr Davis had paid Rhiannon for her assistance, but her supervisor, Veronika got the wrong impression about exactly what Rhiannon was doing, and when she also left her son Jackson in the hotel staff room, Veronika decided to report Rhiannon to the Department of Human Services.
