Whilst working as a midwife at a hospital in Colac, Louise Fletcher was on shift when babies Bree Timmins and Anne Baxter were born. Soon after the babies were born, Louise was distracted by an emergency and, when she returned to Anne and Bree, was unsure which baby was which as she put their name bracelets on. Worried that this incident may come back to haunt her, she wrote down the details of both families. A few years later, Louise moved to Moonee Ponds, where, in 2006, she was visited by Kim and Janelle Timmins, who had tracked her down with the help of Janelle’s friend Phyllis, having learnt that Bree wasn’t their biological child. Louise was expecting their visit, having been contacted by a hospital lawyer, and was refusing to talk, but Kim and Janelle refused to leave without answers. Louise finally gave in and told them her story, handing them the address of the Baxter family, though it later emerged that Louise was not the one responsible for the baby swap, but Kim’s vengeful mother Loris had switched their identities, not wanting baby Bree to grow up with a mum like Janelle.

• Actress Sue McGrath was wrongly credited as Selma Danculovic for this appearance. In the previous episode, Selma had appeared in the role of Trisha Banks, but was credited with Sue's name
• Sue McGrath previously appeared in 2004 as Valerie Atkins
