After beginning a relationship with Rhett Norman, Aaron Brennan realised that he wasn't ready to move on from his late husband, David, and ended things. However, after a few more weeks had passed, he realised that he'd been too hasty and he asked Rhett if they could meet. A nervous Aaron started to explain his feelings and his hopes for another chance, but before Rhett could reply, his new boyfriend Patrick appeared unexpectedly, having finished work early. As Rhett introduced them, Aaron was upset to realise that he was too late and had missed out.
