When a group of Japanese businessmen came into the Scarlet Bar one evening looking for some traditional Australian entertainment, Bobby Hoyland, who was looking after the bar for his kids, Max and Izzy, saw an opportunity. Bobby arranged with Kazu, the spokesman for the group, to pick them up in a limousine the following day for a local tour, which would include many of the backstreet gambling dens that Bobby was so fond of attending.
