Sandra Jago 2025

After his daughter Sadie had her drink spiked, Sergeant Andrew Rodwell decided to organise some self-defence lessons for the locals. With Sadie unable to help out one week, Andrew asked Holly Hoyland if she would assist him for the afternoon and she reluctantly agreed, cancelling plans to spend time with new boyfriend, Max Ramsay. Max then decided to attend the class himself and Holly was jealous as she watched him pair up with Sandra Jago. After seeing Sandra put her hand on Max's leg, Holly stormed over to introduce herself, then, with no warning, demonstrated the throw they'd been practising, leaving Sandra shocked and bruised. Holly was unapologetic when Andrew told her that what she'd done was very dangerous, but she was forced to apologise when Max said that he'd told Sandra to put her hand on his leg, to help with positioning for the throw, and she'd been doing nothing wrong.

Ahead of their next self-defence session, Sandra bumped into Andrew at Lassiters, and he was completely oblivious as she flirted with him and told him how much she was looking forward to the next class. As that class took place, Holly noticed that Sandra had a new outfit for the occasion, complete with the tags still attached, and was always the first to volunteer when Andrew needed an assistant. Having picked up on the flirting, Max and Holly realised that Andrew was unaware and Max decided to tell him. Horrified, Andrew took her to one side at the end of the class and Sandra was mortified as he explained that he was married, but removed his wedding ring for the self-defence classes.

During the next class, Sandra was paired up with newcomer, 18-year-old Archie, who appeared to be viewing it as speed dating rather than self-defence. Having finally had enough of his comments, Sandra snapped and Andrew asked Archie to leave. With Wendy also attending the class, and the Rodwells facing problems at home over her receiving a job offer in Murrayville, she was upset as Andrew helped Sandra with her shoulder. Feeling that Andrew was flirting with Sandra in order to upset her, Wendy confronted him at the end of the class, her ranting only ending when she realised that the entire group was looking at them.

After Andrew then asked Sandra to find a different self-defence class, Wendy was surprised to see her still hanging around Lassiters. She thanked her for stepping back from the class, but was confused as Sandra started making underhand comments about Wendy's marriage and how she didn't communicate well with Andrew. Noticing the tension, Wendy's friend Nicolette tried to find out what was going on and, as she chatted to Sandra, she noticed that she was exchanging messages with someone on a dating app. She immediately recognised the tattoo in the profile picture and, after joining the app and setting up a fake profile, she found HotRod69 and showed Wendy the image which appeared to show that Andrew had been cheating on her.

When Nicolette set up a fake profile and tried to catch out Andrew, she received no reply to her message, leaving Wendy with no answers. Nic tried to encourage her to just be honest with Andrew and ask him outright, but she was worried that she wouldn't like the answer, noticing more signs that he was cheating, particularly his sudden concern with his health and appearance. When Nic then spotted Sandra heading purposefully into the police station, she reported back to Wendy. Andrew, however, had been unwilling to speak to Sandra and had sent a colleague to deal with her. Later that day, Andrew was surprised when Sandra returned, telling him that she knew he'd brushed her off earlier but that she was very concerned about something and needed his help, claiming that she was being stalked. As Sandra became distressed and Andrew comforted her, Wendy watched from a distance, now more sure that her husband was cheating on her.

After seeing Sandra again later that day, Wendy decided to confront her, accusing her of stealing her husband. Sandra insisted that Andrew had told her that his marriage was basically over and that he needed her to keep quiet about their relationship until he'd put a plan in place to leave Wendy. Horrified, Wendy finally spoke to Andrew about everything that had been going on and he denied any affair and told her that he didn't have a profile on a dating app. With Andrew protesting his innocence, claiming that someone was using his images and catfishing Sandra, Nicolette decided to arrange to meet HotRod69 and try to find out the truth. With Sandra failing to reply to any of his messages, Andrew was reluctant to go along with the plan, but sent rookie cop Cara along to Nicolette's meeting at the tram cafe, whilst he and Wendy waited nearby in the car. Though the mystery catfisher failed to show up, the app showed that he was actually over 1 kilometre away, proving Andrew's innocence and leaving everyone else wondering who it could be. When Holly suggested that Archie could be responsible, as he'd been at the classes and would have reason to want revenge on Sandra and Andrew. Andrew went along with this, but, as he, Wendy and Nicolette attempted to find proof of Archie's guilt, they were all unaware that another member of the self-defence class, Phil Buffett, was watching them from a distance.

As Sandra finally agreed to talk about what had happened to her, Wendy was worried about Andrew speaking to her alone, so he agreed to take a colleague with him. However, when Holly found out, she felt that it might be too much and frighten Sandra, so she offered to speak to her first and share some of her own experiences with bad men. This worked, and Sandra opened up about how violated she felt, as she had sent intimate pictures to the catfisher. She then agreed to show the messages she'd shared with HotRod69 to Holly and decided that she would hand her phone to the police. When Andrew then spotted her sitting along, he joined her and she agreed to show him the messages too, and he quickly spotted something useful - a photograph of a sunset outside HotRod69's house. Andrew quickly recognised the house and went there later that day, finding Phil in the garden. Phil then attacked him and tied him up in a storage shed, with Holly using a fake profile to work out where HotRod69 lived, managing to save Andrew. Wendy, however, continued to struggle with her jealousy after learning that Andrew had been seen chatting with Sandra earlier that day. It wasn't until she confronted Sandra that she realised her mistake, as Sandra told Wendy that they'd both been victims of the catfisher and that she was sorry for any of the trouble she'd caused - before reassuring Wendy that Andrew loved her very much.
