Kendall Kenny 2025
Occupation: Lighting Technician

After Heath Royce terrorised Holly Hoyland and her friends in the outback, she pushed him into a river, where he was attacked and killed by a crocodile. The incident was seen as self-defence and everyone else, including Heath's accomplice, Tess Carmichael, backed up Holly's story with the police. A few months later, with Holly still trying to move on from what had happened, American businesswoman Yasmine Shields arrived in Erinsborough, explaining that she arranged light shows back in the US and was looking to expand to Australia. As she got to know various locals to discuss venues and sponsorship, they were all unaware that she was actually Heath's sister, convinced that there was more to his death than she was being told.

After giving an interview to the Crimesborough podcast, which painted her as a cold-blooded killer, Holly found herself the target of local gossip and Yaz took the opportunity to befriend her, even offering her a job. As she tried - and failed - to find proof that Holly had deliberately killed Heath to get her hands on his money, Yaz grew more and more desperate to make her pay. With access to her dead brother's phone, Yaz used the information to read the messages exchanged between Holly and Heath during their brief relationship, and sent Holly some perfume, Scent by Zelda, which she knew Holly had once suggested as a gift she'd like him to get her. The perfume came with a note claiming to be from Heath, leaving Holly deeply distressed but this still wasn't enough to get her to open up about what had happened in the outback and Holly decided to donate the perfume to charity.

As the Erinsborough Lights Up event then got closer, Yaz flew her lighting technician, Kendall Kenny, to Australia to help out but when she arrived to meet with Holly and Aaron Brennan, who'd been hired to help out, Holly was horrified to realise that Kendall had bought the perfume and was wearing it. As an upset Holly ran off, Kendall was unimpressed and matters only got worse when she realised that Aaron had no experience with a big lighting show. Aaron convinced Kendall to give him and Holly another shot, but when some valuable transformers arrived by courier, Holly accidentally knocked them into the pond in the Lassiters complex. She was surprised when Yaz took the news well, insisting that they could call in some favours and have some more equipment flown out, and then she continued with her effort to get Holly to admit that she'd deliberately killed Heath. When this failed once again, Yaz came up with a new plan, planting a hidden camera and some sound equipment at Holly's house, before playing Heath's voice to her when she was home alone that night.

As Yaz comforted a shaken Holly after this incident, she plied her with alcohol and managed to get a recording of her admitting that she wanted Heath to die. Unfortunately, the police refused to take it seriously, warning Yaz that she would face charges herself if she didn't stop with her harassment. When Yaz then decided to go to Warrawee, the cattle station where Heath had died, Kendall was left frustrated as her boss disappeared the day before Lights Up was due to take place. As Kendall, Holly and Aaron made the final preparations for the event, Yaz returned, more frustrated than ever, as she had failed to find anything in the outback that would help. When Kendall then approached Yaz to give her a damaged transformer, which she described as a 'death trap', Yaz offered to deal with the problem. After getting another knock back from the police, and finding Holly burning photos of all the men, including Heath, who'd hurt her, Yaz finally snapped. She handed Holly the damaged transformer, telling her to use it in the main lighting display at the end of the night, fully aware that it could seriously injure, or even kill, Holly.

Having fled to the airport, Yaz was listening to the latest episode of the Crimesborough podcast, in which the other people who'd been in the outback with Holly and Heath were interviewed. Hearing their perspectives made her realise that she'd been wrong about Holly and that Heath really had turned into a monster. She then returned to Erinsborough, desperate to stop Holly from using the damaged transformer, only to find Max Ramsay about to plug it in. Yaz could only watch as Max suffered a huge electric shock and was thrown to the ground, and she quickly left again. She was followed to the airport by a concerned Nicolette Stone, who Yaz had grown very close to during her time in Australia, and who had started to work out what was going on. Yaz then recounted the entire story to Nicolette, admitting how she'd been blinded by love for her little brother and had now realised how wrong she'd been. After checking that Max wasn't seriously injured, Nicolette stepped aside and, rather than shopping her to the police, told Yaz to board her flight and leave.
