Having been appointed as General Manager of Lasssiters Hotel, Chloe Brennan was struggling to keep up with the difficult targets being set by Lucy Robinson, the Head of Lassiters Worldwide. With a long-term contract for the job on the cards, Chloe was worried to hear that Lucy was sending consultant Anita Kent to check on her. Wanting to see Chloe succeed, Terese Willis, the former manager of the hotel, suggested that Lassiters could host a three-day conference organised by the Department of Family & Community, which was looking for a venue. With Terese's help, she managed to put together a proposal and get a provisional agreement for the conference, impressing Anita, as the booking would single-handedly hit Lucy's revenue targets. Chloe quickly thanked Terese and asked for her help with the long-term projections, which Terese grudgingly agreed to. Anita was again impressed with Chloe's work and admitted that she would be recommending that Lucy keep Chloe on. However, the next morning, as Terese and Chloe were in the office celebrating their victory, Anita walked in and overheard, saying that her recommendations to Lucy would be very different now.
