As he struggled with a series of family problems, Aaron Brennan was worried when his ex, Rory Zemiro, turned up in Erinsborough. Having not told his boyfriend, David Tanaka, that he'd met up with Rory during a recent trip to Paris, Aaron was hoping that the two of them wouldn't meet, and was concerned when Rory then showed up at The Shed, the gym that Aaron owned. Having just asked personal trainer Lyle Kinsey to keep an eye on things at the gym for him, Aaron quickly made his excuses to leave, telling Rory that Lyle would look after him. Whilst training with Lyle, Rory then injured his back and headed to the hospital, where he conveniently bumped into David, who worked there as a doctor, leaving David slightly confused as Rory started asking him a lot of personal questions during his treatment.
