When Shane Rebecchi heard that a news crew was coming to cover the opening of Erinsborough's new wellness centre, the Flametree Retreat, he decided to try and use the opportunity to get some coverage for his invention, a remote-controlled lawnmower. Unfortunately, as Shane was showing the lawnmower to journalist Jennifer Loh outside the Community Centre, it malfunctioned and went rogue, disappearing into the building and terrifying the children inside. The following year, Jennifer was one of the journalists gathered at Paul Robinson's penthouse, where he announced plans for a new housing development, Robinson Heights. When Jennifer asked him who would be leading the build, Paul announced that it would be his daughter, Amy, who was furious with him, as she hadn't yet agreed to take on the role.
