A barman at Dougie's, the backpackers resort where Kate Ramsay and Erin Salisbury were staying in Port Douglas, Luke immediately took a shine to Erin when she arrived, and it wasn't long before the pair had slept together. When the pair found out that they shared the same plan to travel on to Asia, Erin asked Luke to join her and Kate, but he explained that he'd need another couple of weeks to raise the funds, and Erin asked a reluctant Kate if they could postpone. A few days later, family problems took Kate back to Erinsborough, while Erin set off for Thailand with Luke.
