As a serious storm hit Erinsborough, 12 News presenter Johanna Mayberry reported the news to the people of Erinsborough, warning that their suburb was scheduled to be the worst hit and that flash floods were possible, with wind speeds of up to 100km per hour being forecast. As conditions worsened, the storm was upgraded to a tornado, causing chaos for several of the residents of Ramsay Street and causing serious damage to their homes and businesses, as well as bringing down a power line on the street, and leaving Lou Carpenter in hospital after part of Harold's Store collapsed on top of him.
