After being wrongly imprisoned at Goodwood Women's Prison for the murder of Terrence Chesterton, Sky Mangel soon found herself targetted by prison 'top dog' Krystal McCoy. Krystal nicknamed Sky 'Piglet' and pretended to be nice at first, but then stole a hat belonging to Sky's baby daughter Kerry and started throwing it around and taunting her. Sky stood up to her, then reported the bullying, and Krystal was sent to solitary confinement, returning with a new determination to make Sky's life hell. However, Sky had a new cellmate, Mary Casey, who acted like a kind older woman, but then visited Krystal to warn her off, eventually grabbing her and breaking her arm, before retrieving Kerry's hat. Krystal then pretended to forgive Sky for everything, but was actually planning a riot, during which she intended to kidnap baby Kerry. As the riot broke out and Sky learnt from her family that Mary, in her obsession with having a grandchild, had been responsible for kidnapping Pepper Steiger, Sky panicked, believing Mary had taken her child. But, in fact, Mary had overheard Krystal's plotting and had taken Kerry to safety, hiding her away in a stairwell.
