When young Emily Hancock ran away from home, following a fight with her brother, Leo, she managed to board a bus without the driver, Tom Mitchell, noticing. After taking the bus back to the depot, Tom locked it up, without realising that Emily was still on board. The next morning, as Tom opened the door, Emily quickly jumped off and ran past him and he reported the incident to the police.
