After taking her car to the garage to be fixed one day, social worked Amelia Moon found herself caught in the middle of a macho feud between mechanic Stuart Parker and doctor Darcy Tyler. As Amelia got chatting to Stuart about her love of football, passed on to her by an ex-boyfriend, Darcy arrived and, with Stuart busy working, he attempted to get to know Amelia better, telling her that he'd had the same car as her when he was in med school. When Stuart later asked Amelia on a date to the footy, he was upset to realise that Darcy had got there first, and had arranged for them to sit in a patient's corporate box. However, by the time the date came around, Darcy had lost interest in Amelia, having met his new patient, Penny Watts. As Darcy and Amelia had a drink together in the Coffee Shop, Penny came in and, when she twisted her ankle and Darcy rushed to her aid, Amelia realised that she was being ignored and left them to be together.
