Mr McLean Terry Gill
Mr McLean 1985
Occupation: Dentist
Whilst suffering with toothache, Max Ramsay's suffering was made worse when a man with some very noisy dogs moved into the house
next to the building where Max's bedsit was located. Though everyone told Max to go and see a dentist, his fear prevented it, and he instead blamed everything on the dogs barking all night and keeping him wake. One night, having
had enough, he went and banged on his neighbour's door, threatening to call the council, only to get the door slammed in his face. Max then came up with a new plan, and, along with his son Danny, he
recorded the dogs barking one day. Then, during the night, when they started up again, he played the recording from his window, through two big speakers. Mr McLean was furious and came over to confront Max, who was delighted to have
given him a taste of his own medicine. McLean left, threatening to take Max to court, but happy with his small victory, Max suddenly felt a pain in his tooth again, and his older son, Shane, having had
enough of all of it, decided to book him an appointment with a dentist. After dragging Max along, Shane was very amused when they walked into the room, only to find that Max's dentist was Mr McLean.
