Occupation: Police Psychologist
When Adam Rhodes decided to join the Australian police force, having previously worked as a cop in the UK, he was forced to undergo a series of psychological tests with Denise Nicoll. Because Adam had left his previous job after his partner, Catherine, was murdered, he felt that Denise was paying particularly close attention to everything he said and ended up storming out of his assessment. Feeling that he'd blown his last chance and would have to find another way to gain residency, Adam was surprised when Denise came to visit him and, admitting that she thought he would make an excellent addition to the police force, suggested a series of intense therapy sessions to help him get over his past problems. Adam agreed and Denise told him that, pending another assessment, there was every chance that he could be working within weeks.
The following week, Adam's course of therapy came to its final day, with a practical test in which actors played members of the public, and Adam had to watch them, trying to spot where the crime was being committed. Though he failed on his first test, he quickly spotted a drug deal, and a criminal sneaking up behind him, on his second test, and Denise congratulated him on passing his assessment.
