When Oliver Barnes and Marco Silvani found themselves embroiled in a childish feud – all because Marco had become involved with Carmella Cammeniti, the mother of Oliver’s daughter, Chloe – a fight broke out during Chloe’s Christening, with Oliver deciding to press charges. Marco then got his own back by reporting the kitchen’s at Lassiter’s, the hotel Oliver managed, to environmental health. Inspector Maureen Palmer visited and, although the hotel passed, Oliver was furious and told Marco, who, along with Carmella, supplied the fruit and veg for the business, that his contract was terminated, effectively ruining Marco and Carmella’s livelihood, leaving them struggling to provide for baby Chloe.
