After Piper Willis went to the Back Lane Bar, wrongly believing that barman Lockie Harding was the person who'd been underlining parts of books and then leaving them at the book exchange, she was alarmed when she realised that he wasn't the person she'd been looking for. At the end of the night, he admitted that he'd left a book at the exchange for his mum before locking the door, leaving Piper worried for her safety. As she kneed him in the groin and grabbed the keys to escape back to her car, Piper's friend Xanthe and mum Terese arrived looking for her, only to find cleaner Martin Popovich, who said that he hadn't seen Piper or Lockie. After finding Piper's phone on the bar, they became extremely concerned until she was found safe and well back on Ramsay Street.
