Guest Character Profiles > Saskia Ramsay Mia Foran

Saskia Ramsay 2025
Lived: 32 Ramsay Street
Parents: Shane and Yvette Ramsay
Siblings: Max
Occupation: Student at Erinsborough High, Residents' Assistant at Eirini Rising

The younger child of divorced couple Shane and Yvette Ramsay, quiet and studious Saskia found herself suffering from bullying at school and, when the problem followed her to a new private school, her parents decided to take drastic action. As their son Max had recently moved to Shane's childhood home of Erinsborough and was thriving there, Yvette and Shane wondered if it might be a good fit for Saskia too. Saskia was delighted to be reunited with her older brother and, with the agreement of his housemates Taye and Byron, she was enrolled at Erinsborough High and made the move onto Ramsay Street. Pleased that Saskia had so many friendly faces around, including school principal and Shane's old friend Jane Harris, Yvette left her daughter as she prepared to start at the school.

After impressing Jane with her excellent grades, and catching the eye of neighbour Dex Varga-Murphy, on her first day, Saskia prepared for a welcome party at her new home of 32 Ramsay Street. However, it wasn't long before she showed another side to her character when, once alone with older Byron, she asked him to fix the strap on her top before throwing herself at him. He was quick to reject her and she later asked him to keep quiet about the whole incident. As Byron thought about this, Saskia spent some time getting to know Dex, his brother JJ and JJ's girlfriend Nell Rebecchi, but couldn't stop herself from watching Byron, noticing the tension between him and ex-girlfriend Sadie Rodwell. When Dex plucked up the courage to ask her out, Saskia left him disappointed by telling him that she was focusing on her studies and didn't have time for dating. She then approached Byron again, pleased when he agreed not to say anything about her behaviour, but only because Max was so excited to have his little sister around, and he didn't want to upset him. A grateful Saskia then decided to have another crack at Byron, having come to the conclusion that he was only hesitant because he was heartbroken over Sadie. When Byron rejected her again, Saskia slipped off her shirt and stood in front of him in her bikini, telling him that she wanted him to see what he was missing out on.

Frustrated by Byron's rejection, Saskia was further upset when she overheard Sadie's mum, Wendy, talking about trying to get Sadie and Byron back together, as they'd been so good for each other. After Byron was then assaulted and ended up in hospital, Saskia made further attempts to help him and spend time with him, only to be rejected again. Meanwhile, at school, Saskia's true colours were showing as she was embarrassed by another student, Archie, who then mysteriously found that his bike tyres had been slashed. With teacher Wendy falling for Saskia's innocent act, she visited her at home and gave her a pair of earrings as a welcome gift, hoping that they might give her some confidence to fit in at school. However, when Saskia turned up late the next morning, after visiting Byron in hospital, Wendy humiliated her in front of the whole class and later found the earrings in the classroom bin. When Wendy confronted her about this, Saskia quickly claimed that they'd been stolen from her pencil case by one of the other students, saying that this was how the bullying started at her last school too. Wendy's anger quickly turned to sympathy, whilst Saskia's attention turned to Sadie. Angry that she was visiting Byron in hospital, she angrily accused her of stomping on Byron's heart, before realising that she'd gone too far and apologising, claiming that she was just feeling overwhelmed by everything that had happened. But she soon found a way to hurt Sadie when she went to the spa, where Sadie worked, and overheard her talking to Byron's sister, Nicolette. Nic was planning a treatment, but told Sadie that she had an allergy to limonene so one of the face masks was unsuitable. After Sadie recommended a different face mask and they left the room, Saskia then snuck in and switched the masks, causing Nic to suffer a severe reaction.

As Byron then came home from hospital, Saskia continued to fuss around him and he had to again ask her to respect his boundaries as nothing was going to happen between them. Saskia then quickly claimed that she was just trying to help and that she'd already moved on and was arranging a date with Dex. However, as she realised that there had been no serious consequences for Sadie after what happened at the spa, and that the incident had made Byron only feel sympathy for his ex, Saskia was furious. These feelings only increased when Sadie called round to the house to speak to Byron and Saskia listened in as Byron told Sadie that they could still be friends.

As she continued to make suggestive comments towards him, Byron decided that he needed to tell Max what was going on with Saskia. After Max confronted her about it, Saskia tried to claim that Byron had misconstrued things and that he'd made it up, before apologising and saying that she would stop. After then overhearing Max and Byron talking about her and her immaturity, she became upset at school and was found hiding out in a classroom by Wendy. As Wendy listened to her and told her that her feelings were completely valid, Saskia was surprised that her teacher was being so nice to her, and found someone else to obsess over, even starting to wear the earrings that Wendy had given her. As she prepared for her date with Dex, Saskia was distracted by her strained relationship with Max, and JJ and Nell began to worry that she wasn't as serious about the date as Dex, and was going to break his heart. Nell confronted Saskia with this, and Saskia again became upset, turning to Wendy for advice once again. After helping her to make a necklace to match the earrings, Wendy helped Saskia by smoothing things over with Nell, and Saskia then met Dex for their date, presenting him with some 3D glasses that she'd made for them, leaving JJ and Nell hopeful that things might work out for her and Dex.

During a party being thrown to mark Sadie's 21st birthday, Wendy found herself being followed around by Saskia, who was desperate to impress her and spend time with her. As Wendy was trying to talk through some problems with husband Andrew, Saskia's constant interruptions and clingy behaviour finally became too much for her and, as the party came to an end, she was forced to throw Saskia out of the house. The next day at school, Wendy did her best to avoid an upset Saskia, who decided to get her revenge at the end of the day by locking Wendy in a storage cupboard. Though she hadn't seen Saskia do it, Wendy was sure that she was responsible and, when Jane found her, she told her as much. However, when confronted, Saskia denied everything, with Dex giving her a false alibi, but Wendy was still sure that she was guilty. Having moved on from her obsession with Wendy, Saskia concentrated on Dex, who was being very kind to her and suggested that she could apply for a residents' assistant job at retirement home, Eirini Rising. When Saskia met Eirini's Operations Manager, Susan Kennedy, she was encouraged to send in her CV and was delighted when, the next day, Susan told her that she'd got the job. She offered to take her for a tour of the complex that morning and, as they chatted, it appeared that Saskia had found someone new to obsess over. Later that day, she turned up at the Kennedy house with Susan's broken glasses, that she'd taken to be fixed for her, and was very happy to be invited to stay for a cup of tea.

As Saskia then spent the morning with Susan, she tried to find excuses to stay and talk to her, including discussing her uni plans and then asking about the Ramsay family's history on the street. Susan showed her the Ramsay Street History Book, but Saskia was disappointed when she explained that she had to leave to drop off some donations at the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation. Susan was surprised when Saskia then turned up there too, with a bag of her own donations, claiming that she'd been inspired, and was reluctant to leave Susan's side when Max turned up and asked his sister to lunch. Susan encouraged Saskia to go, and Max was soon apologising to his sister for being distant from her since he found out about her flirting with Byron. As Max tried to reconnect with his younger sister, he was surprised to find out about Wendy's accusations and, although Saskia continued to deny any involvement in her teacher being locked in the cupboard, Max was worried about this latest incident. Susan was also growing concerned when Saskia turned up for her first shift at Eirini, complete with coffee for her and asking if she could spend the day in the office helping with admin. Susan explained that her job involved working with the residents so she'd have to go and do that and later decided to speak to Jane about Saskia's intense behaviour. As she mentioned her concerns to Wendy and Jane, Wendy told Susan that she'd had a very similar experience and that something wasn't adding up where Saskia was concerned. Wendy and Jane then decided to contact Saskia's old schools in Queensland to see if they could find out if this was a pattern in her behaviour.

As her clingy behaviour continued to worry Susan, Saskia was worried when she overheard Jane mention that she'd received her school records and was hoping to get the bottom of her concerning behaviour. With Jane alone in the school later that day, Saskia set off the bell in the building, and when Jane went to find out what was going on, Saskia crept into her office and changed the records before Jane got the chance to read the behavioural report, making it seem like she was the one who'd been bullied when actually she was the one doing the bullying and had a history of singling people out. After she returned and read the changed report, Jane concluded that Saskia's clingy behaviour was due to the bullying and trying to find safety with an adult. Susan agreed with this assessment, but having grown tired of Saskia's behaviour, she decided to tell her that her trial at Eirini was over and that they wouldn't be keeping her on as they couldn't afford extra staff. Saskia took this news very badly and, the following day, snuck into the Kennedys back garden when they were out for a walk and started trashing things. Having spotted Saskia going in, Dex decided to follow her and find out what she was up to, and was shocked to see her pushing over the plants in the greenhouse. She admitted to him that she was very upset about being sacked by Susan, but now realised she'd made a mistake, begging him not to say anything.

Dex agreed and, when Karl and Susan returned a little later, they found him trying to clean up, claiming that he'd broken a pot after kicking his football over the fence. They accepted this, but a suspicious Karl then tried to get Dex to open up about what was really going on. Dex continued to cover for Saskia, but after catching her starting to trash Susan's desk at Eirini, he realised that something was very wrong. As Saskia spoke about people pretending to care, then letting her down, Dex realised that she really had locked Wendy in the storage cupboard too. Feeling out of his depth with the situation, Dex quietly went and spoke to Max, who then told Karl, Susan and Wendy what had been going on. Karl suggested that Saskia might have attachment issues and would need to see a psychiatrist, and Max realised that he needed to contact his mum and get her help.

Still believing that everything was fine, the following morning Saskia was surprised to find that her mum had arrived. Confronted with her behaviour, Saskia was ashamed, but Yvette admitted that she'd had her concerns that her daughter wasn't quite as perfect as she pretended to be, and that she had hoped that a change of scenery might improve things. Yvette also pointed out that Saskia's attachment issues were understandable, given the way her parents had behaved after their divorce, and then Max's sudden move across the country could only have made things worse. As they made plans to return to Queensland and get her some treatment, Saskia joined her mum as they explained everything to Nicolette and Byron, as well as Jane, Wendy and Susan. With everyone understanding and grateful that everything was out in the open, Saskia saved her final apology for Dex. She told him how sorry she was for making him lie for her and told him that she had genuinely felt a connection with him, before kissing him on the cheek.
