Regina 'Reggie' Grundy 2018-2019
Lived: 24, 34 Ramsay Street

Following the sudden death of her owner, Valerie Grundy, Regina ‘Reggie’ Grundy was temporarily taken in by two of Val’s neighbours, Shane and Dipi Rebecchi. It quickly became clear that Reggie wasn’t getting on with Clancy, the Rebecchis’ dog, so couple Aaron Brennan and David Tanaka offered to take over her care, as it was believed that Val had no relatives to take her. Aaron and David, after convincing Aaron’s fussy brother Mark to let them have a dog, quickly grew to love having Reggie around, even though she had a tendency to tear up their belongings from time to time. However, one day, she was taken from outside Harold’s Cafe, with David and Aaron searching the neighbourhood, offering a reward for her safe return. They were then surprised to see a woman walking Reggie along Ramsay Street, believing that she was there to return their dog. She explained that she was Valerie’s sister, Vera Punt, and that both Val’s house and dog had been bequeathed to her.

Aaron and David were then forced to say goodbye to Reggie, as she went to Bendigo with Vera. However, a few weeks later, Vera announced that she’d decided to live at Val’s house, 34 Ramsay Street, and she and Reggie moved in.

Trivia Notes
• Reggie appeared on screen briefly in late 2018 and early 2019, but was mentioned again a couple of years later when Karl Kennedy accused Vera Punt of allowing Reggie to poo on his front garden
• Timba, the French Bulldog who played Reggie, was owned by Matt Wilson (Aaron Brennan)
• Reggie was named after Reg Grundy, whose Grundy Organisation produced Neighbours between 1985 and 2006, and who passed away in May 2016
