After he and his friend Jay Rebecchi joined some illegal card games organised by Kane Jones, Hendrix Greyson found himself owing a lot of money and forced to help host the games at the empty 24 Ramsay Street. As the first game got underway, one of the other players, Tally, encouraged Hendrix to push his luck, only for him to lose after agreeing to hand over the house. At another game the following week, with Kane's threatening Hendrix to pay his debt and sending him a bullet as a warning, Hendrix spotted a gun in Tally's bag and decided to steal it as protection. Unfortunately, when he and Jay then hid it in the pizza oven at 28 Ramsay Street, which was then fired up by Bea Nilsson, causing an explosion and leaving Shane Rebecchi with a gunshot wound in his leg.
